Doesn’t Klopp hate Bayern? Sure i’ve seen ripping the piss out of them a few times
I thought it was odd that a former Dortmund manager was being linked with Bayern. What’s the extent of the rivalry between the clubs? I know Hitzfeld moved from Dortmund to Bayern but is that something of a taboo?

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I wouldn't worry about it. Bayern will be top-quality opposition no matter who is in charge.

Biggest concern is that a new manager might render our tactical scouting/prep completely out of date before we've even played them.
they will be top quality players no matter who's in charge

Heynckes knows Bayern, knows most of the players, knows how to get a team like Bayern to click - most likely the worst possible appointment for us as he wouldn't need much time to get them to click, unlike if they appointed Tuchel or Nagelsmann
Yep. That was my thinking as well.

The fans don't like it but players and managers won't care much, and it's happended. Heynckes is a Hoeness move, pretty miuch sure ot be Nagelsmann next then.

Probably in the minority here but I don't think Hartley is a very good manager. He left Dundee in a right shambles. (Not altogether his fault mind.)

He was good with Cowdenbeath and Killie. Pish with Finland, United and Hibs. He actually won the Writers' Manager of the Year Award in his less than one season with Killie.

He seemed to have lost the plot a bit at United right enough. Reverted to wee Jum style tantrums and only lasted a few months, did he no.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on. From the squad he had from 2013 he's lost schweinsteiger, lahm, kroos, mandzukic; Ribéry and neuer are out for the next few months. Müller, Robben and alaba are not the players they were 4 years ago and certainly Robben hasn't got better with age. Mandzukic has been replaced by lewandowski, Dante by hummels who are as good if not better. Kroos, lahm and schweinsteiger haven't been replaced with players of equal ability.

Juup is on a hiding to nothing. He's four years older, he's getting papped out again at the end of the season regardless of how the season goes and he's not got the team he had when he won the treble.

They are there for the taking...

Clarke is favourite with some bookies. A serious downward career trajectory there.
