If De Boer is appointed today, he'll be sacked by next week and we'll be talking about the bounce off the next manager

The England womens boss Mark Sampson is resigning. I wonder if there's more to this discrimination case than meets the eye :hmmm:

Frank de Boer is being touted for Anderlecht job so it could work in our favour.
Didn't his Ajax team beat us though :twitch:

Sacked after evidence of 'inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour' in a previous role. The FA always seem to be able to eff these things up.

The Guardian's Daniel Taylor is reporting that he's been sacked, over another scandal that's about to come out relating to his work before the England job.

Yeah something always struck me as susicious about that guy, and that's besides the racism allegations.

EDIT: To do with a safeguarding issue? That's downright troubling if that's the case.

The FA look incompetent. They are saying they have only just seen the full report from safeguarding allegations made against Sampson when @ Bristol city.

Why was this not identified when he applied for the England job? They are saying that knew of an issue but not all the details.

The FA do not come out of this in a good light at all.

FA statement:

Quote:

The Football Association can confirm that Mark Sampson's contract as England Women's head coach has been terminated with immediate effect.

Prior to taking charge of the national team in December 2013, Sampson was manager of Bristol Academy.

In 2014, safeguarding allegations were made against him about his time with Bristol Academy. The safeguarding assessment was that he did not pose a risk working in the game.

However, the full report of that investigation was only brought to the attention of the current FA leadership last week and it is our judgement that it revealed clear evidence of inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour by a coach.

It is on this basis that we have acted quickly to agree a termination of Sampson's contract.

In respect of investigations into specific allegations made by Eniola Aluko in 2016, The FA stands by the findings of the independent barrister Katharine Newton's investigation.

Sampson has denied all of the accusations put to him and no evidence of wrong-doing was found.

We will continue to support the independent investigation as it reviews the recent evidence presented to it and publish any new findings and recommendations.

I'm doubting the FA never knew about the full report. How could they miss that?

The FA really are not coming across well in this.

Shortly after they hired Sampson, they received an anonymous tip-off about "safeguarding" concerns, and therefore a full investigation and report was run. The FA executives (the men who hired Sampson) took no interest in the actual output of the report, which was delivered in March 2015, beyond the headlines.

2 and a half years later, in the midst of mounting evidence that the FA's investigation into racism was (to put it mildly) a load of old bollocks, they've suddenly discovered a reason to get rid of him, but in the process exposed at least two other of their significant internal processes as completely and utterly flawed.

In short, the FA appear to have cocked up:

- their pre-appointment checks;
- the distribution of their safe-guarding reporting;
- the review into alleged racism.

I wouldn't be surprised if this entire thing ended up being reviewed by parliament in some form. And it will probably spell the end for the three execs in charge of all of this.

MPs were already on the case.

Eni Aluko is due to give evidence to the Culture, Media & Sport Select Committee next month.

To think that, only last week, folk on here were hailing these bigwigs as beacons of transparency, propriety and competence compared to their Scottish counterparts. :lol:

Can well see heads rolling down Wembley Way before the end of the year..

Been coming. They've had a horrendous start and the grumblings around town have gotten louder and more frequent.

Coyle started his managerial career with Falkirk.

I can see him ending up back there again.

Jim McIntyre and Billy Dodds "parted company" by Ross County

"Ross County Football Club have today taken the decision to part company with Jim McIntyre and his assistant, Billy Dodds, with immediate effect."

Whatever happened to a good, old-fashioned, sacking?
