that's a laughable decision and that league is a joke

managers should have greater protection than that - 4 games :nono:

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Steve Parish :ph43r:

Steve Parish is the Crystal Palace chairman and was presumably involved in the decision to appoint de Boer. He may well have predicted that the appointment would be a disaster but that would be most unusual.

Simon Jordan is the ex-owner of Crystal Palace and predicted that the appointment would be a disaster.

You're welcome :ph43r:

According to 5 live yesterday he was Parrish's no1 choice

If West Ham lose tonight, Bilic will be following him , though at least he had previous seasons to feck things up.

Was he the one that missed the penalty - or the other one ?

Tosser either way
Depends which penalty you're talking about.

Frank missed one for the old Huns v Hibs in a League Cup game, c. 2004. I think he also missed one (two?) in a Euro 2000 semi v Italy.

Ronald missed one v Brazil in a 1998 World Cup semi

Pity the huns signed the bullfighter instead of FDB.

DeBoer was brought in as a long term project.

I'm at a loss why they'd let him go now, especially given he actually learned from mistakes from his previous 3 games.

I'm trying to work out if I'd have more sympathy for de Boer if he hadn't played for the huns.

The answer is yes. GIRFUY ya wink :lolhuns:

Replacing DeBoer with Hodgson really is doubling down on the stupidity of the original decision - it's Serie A level mentalness

The chat before the game this weekend is that the senior players had demanded the change in tactics. DeBoer had lost the dressing room, and the good performance against Burnley was because the players lost faith in him and over-ruled his instructions. Reading between the lines of his post-match interview all of the above was probably true- if so, he fully deserved the sack.

What a dilemma the Zombies must have today.....do they persist with Cockpiss Pedro....or start bawlin "n" shoutin for the appointment of DeBoer.

I suspect taking a humping at their midden on 23rd Sept will focus their minds :)

Completely out of order!!

We don't want the huns relegated. We just want to keep handing out humiliations.

Palace emblematic of so much of English football. A nonentity club who thinks they are something special because of the money they get by sharing a league with big clubs. Absurd to sack him so quickly.

Even though he is a wink.

You can't turn Palace into Ajax in four games or even four months.
