They don't rate McInnes. He's a bottle merchant according to Gilligan*.

*I was told this last year before they appointed Warburton. Their stance may have changed.
Plus the sheep would want compensation. Not much in ginger bottles nowadays so that would end that.
That might have been a factor but you'd never hear a hun director make such an admission

Where you hear the rumour?

They'd be in a pretty dire state if he left, the team is already useless but at least the players seemed to like him.

If he goes i'd imagine a whole bunch of that squad will also leave with him.

A good source.

His supposed new club will be playing a lot of derby matches next year.

Think they would be more likely to promote "Sir Davie of Weir" than actually pay for someone if the Magic Hat walked away (can hats walk?).

Looking forward to what sort of Jose we get to see at Man Utd.
I'm hoping for the absolute pumpkin he was at Real for the entertainment..can't see him wanting to eye gauge Conte though.

To add on to Remys rumour I got told that Warburton has applied or has had contact with 3 or 4 clubs down England since January.
wouldn't surprise me if he ended up back down England. He can spew bullshampoo and point and say he fixed the basket case that was the scum with a small squad of and beat Celtic along the way blah blah blah

What a shame van Gaal has finally been sacked I was hoping he would at least survive another season :(

It probably makes perfect sense for Warburton to leave before the next season starts.

No European football after the SC defeat and the likelihood of finishing below Celtic would mean his stock would probably fall after another 12 months in charge.

He should be asking himself what would be the point of staying longer if he can get a half decent championship or lower prem gig.

Please. Be strange with them having a manager ye don't hate. Warbs has only been here long enough for us to know he's a bit of a tit, and hasn't really wound us up at all. That auld scraggly bastard, on the other hand...

Wouldn't surprise me if this was in the contract when warbs signed :

- come up and attract 'stars' from England
- walk the 2nd tier with the 2nd highest budget,
- have his stock raised doing this (somehow) ably helped by the smsm
- 'walk away' clause to join an English club with set compensation
- weiry Dave to take over and continue the dignified work

I'm a bit mystified by the idea that European football was going to be a "game-changer" for Sevco. How many qualifying rounds could the current squad possibly survive, even if they had Joey "Gazza Lite" Barton carrying their midfield? No chance they'd get anywhere near the EL group stages, none whatsoever--they are absolutely shocking. (And yes, I know exactly how bad that makes the Deila-led Celtic side who lost to them at Hampden.)

As for the SPL--finishing below Celtic? That was always a given, and not just for the Hüns debut season in the top flight. I think the Warbmeister has been having visions of finishing below Kilmarnock. He'll have been doing cartwheels on Saturday night, because now he can make it look like he was forced out of Scottish football "Rangers haters." If it looked like he was just leaving Sevco for a better team/better salary, the Sons of Strewth and their ilk would have had only one person to blame for their SPL humiliation. Now they can blame every other football team in Scotland, and keep their persecution complex on overdrive.
