The reason people don't like Levein is squarely down to his time at the Scotland job and his behaviour as Hearts DOF.

He's never been anti-Celtic, but has certainly been anti-Rangers in his time.

He'll go down in history as the innovator of the 4-6-0.
Smith did that first against Man Utd. He's the real trail blazer when it comes to pig ugly football.

:cuckoo: What a mental decision! But looking at their next four fixtures, they could still be bottom with 0 points and 0 goals scored

85 days at Inter last year and 77 this year at Palace. No doubt handsomely recompensed by both. Decent work if you can get it.

For all the comments that will inevitably cite the EPL gone mad, this is the same club in the same league, that 20 years ago had Atilio Lombard and an almost obese Tomas Brolin in charge, the latter if whom insisted on picking himself.

Basket casesness isn't especially new.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep

One's called Ronald
One's called Frank
One missed a penalty
The same one got the sack after four games having been a disastrous appointment as predicted by Simon Jordan whom many people think is a w@nk

Steve Parish :ph43r:

Steve Parish is the Crystal Palace chairman and was presumably involved in the decision to appoint de Boer. He may well have predicted that the appointment would be a disaster but that would be most unusual.

Simon Jordan is the ex-owner of Crystal Palace and predicted that the appointment would be a disaster.

You're welcome :ph43r:

Farcical decision, especially when they deserved to pick up points yesterday.

That said, don't have any time for FDB. He was a bell end the last couple of times we've played Ajax.
He's a bellend full stop.

He might struggle now, his last seasons with Ajax weren't particularly great and he has been a disaster since.

Still, at least Mark Guidi named him as the best defender he's ever seen playing in Scotland, everyone else just remembers gentleman thug Chris Sutton annihilating him during his brief stint in Glasgow.

Eff Palace as well.

Can't stand jumped up clubs like them. Utterly irrelevant, but absolutely coining it in off Sky. Would love to see them go down.

If you sack a manager 4 games in to the season, the director of football or whoever makes the footballing decisions should be sacked.

He was an excellent player but was washed up when he arrived in Glasgow in 2004, was done as a favour to Advocaat who wanted him fit for the Euros.

you shouldn't be allowed to do it unless in extraordinary circumstances.
