Would be odd for Hearts to appoint a guy sacked by Dundee a few months ago.
Why?
They're a much bigger club than Dundee. If Dundee decided they needed an upgrade on Hartley, I don't see why Hearts would want him. Can't be many guys who get sacked after seven defeats in a row, then walk into a bigger job.
If Dundee wanted an upgrade on Hartley how on earth did they end up with McCann :cuckoo:

McClaren allegedly back in the running for Hearts after turning down a consultancy role with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Budge and Levein would have to be absolute Rodney Plonkers not to interview him.

Don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere but Jimmy Calderwood has early onset Alzheimers disease. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Edit: mentioned on th Board thread. Apologies.

He'd be a great appointment for them.

Hope they get Pressley though.

McClaren is a good manager who gets a bad reputation because he's also a total clown. Great for Hearts if true.

I am willing to bet anything on Hearts not appointing McClaren.

1) He will want paid in money, and probably a decent wedge. I don't think Hearts will have much of that.

2) He doesn't fit the profile of previous Budge/Levein appointments. Whilst they got their fingers burnt with Cathro, I don't think they'll stray too far from that kind of young coach. Also less wages.

3) McClaren, in having actual experience and having been around the block in the game, including at some big clubs and at a high level, won't just listen to whatever Levein tells him to do. That might count against him as well.

4) It's Hearts. They built a stand and forgot to order the effing seats. I wouldn't trust them to tell me it's raining outside never mind make a good managerial appointment.

So, in conclusion, yes they are rodney plonkers and no they will not appoint him. EDIT: Or interview him. I bet they don't even do that as well.

If Pressley is currently out of work they might go for him.

Jon Daly, a man who earns a wage as a professional (interim) football manager, "It's news I wasn't aware of, but that's great," when asked about the cash windfall other Scottish clubs will get from Celtic's CL qualification.

Imagine taking a full-time wage from football, and not having a effing clue about the rules or how things work.

He knew alright, he's playing to the crowd by pretending he has no interest in Celtic whatsoever
