When you consider only a few years ago Celtic were defeating Barcelona at home, that Lennon is now considering taking charge of a championship club in Scotland then it seems bizarre. I know some are saying Lennon may have thought his stock was higher but I think that there is more to it than that. Arguably his stock was at its peak in the immediate aftermath of that result and it goes to show how a person's standing in football can be quite a fickle thing. Possibly his Bolton experience damaged his reputation, but that club were in serious financial bother which I don't think was made clear to him when he took the job. He still stuck to his task when it seemed like a hopeless endeavour trying to keep that team up. Plenty worse jobs in football than being Hibs manager, and while it's not the heights you'd think he should be at given his time with us, there's only one way for him to get himself back to the level he believes he should be at and that's to get working. There should be plenty in his favour at that club, easily the best squad now in that division, excellent training facilities, a great fanbase whom he should be good at motivating to get behind their team. I really hope he takes it and gets his management career going in the right direction again. However, he really, really needs to get them promoted next season. If Lennon comes back and does well with Hibs he'll be well situated if BR does really really well and moves on, or really really badly and moves on. |

A couple of interesting comments from Roy Keane: Keane - Owners prefer coaches with white teeth and a tan He's always good for a quote. |

Never feel Keane is bitter, he's just a straight talker who calls it as he sees it. He's his own man and all his opinions are his own unlike a lot of muppets in the public eye. |

He wouldn't. But he might do so after retaining it. Or would he aim for the 'threepeat'? WeCanDream CSC |

Keano is a divisive character without doubt. He doesn't come out with his opinions to court controversy - when asked for his view he gives it as he sees it - not what he thinks will sound good to the audience. His television punditry bears this out and he is a breath of fresh air in comparison to Michael Owen, Phil Neville, Gary Lineker et al. Most of what he says is right but people find the truth distasteful - prawn sandwich brigade etc. He's the kid who says the king is stark bollock naked. Give me someone with an honest opinion over one with a rehearsed positive, feelgood scripted reply any day. |

I feel Lenny, managerially speaking, is at Year Zero. He might as well start again at Hibs. As good a place as any. |

Maybe, but I feel he thrives on controversy. In some circumstances as we all know it's sometimes best to say nothing..in public at least. |

Sky live at Easter Road just now. Saying Lennon, Malky Mackay and Alex McLeish are the front runners for it and they expect an announcement by Tuesday. Have to say, I'm shocked those three are in contention. Thought all three would regard that job as being beneath them. Edited by san meegs, 5 Jun 2016, 11:35 AM.

The Bolton move was a disaster for him, he should have given that a wide berth. That was his second bout of poor judgement after letting the Celtic job slip away. |

Agreed, He was at his best in the heat of battle on the pitch. Some folded under pressure, Keane's stature increased. It continues in his interviews, he won't back down or moderate his views for anyone. Just remember the microphone is put in front of the interviewee and prepared questions are fired from all angles. Replies can be unpredictable but at least Keane is consistent and doesn't need to whore himself to the media. |

I get that Rotherham might not be the Paris of the North but it's not as if Stubbs HAS to live in the city. |

I can't disagree with any of that. But IMO he's driven by bitterness and hatred. He's been a destructive influence in most his roles...eventually. Everything good that he's a part of or has helped create seems to become an enemy to him in the end. I don't actually dislike him btw, it's just an observation. I'll never forget the "Rolls Royce" display him and Lennon dished out at Ipox

Just looking at the headline before reading the article, I thought he was having a pop at our Brendan who got his teeth done and now has a permatan. There's nothing like a midlife crisis!

All damaged goods who have flopped in their most recent jobs. Hibs is a decent job for any of them, though it's not going to be easy topping what Stubbs achieved this year, especially if they lose a chunk of that squad and have Dundee United, Falkirk, Raith and possibly St Mirren and Dunfermline to compete with. |

If you've got money, there's nowhere in the UK you can't have a nice life. Heard someone on the radio last week asking why Joey Barton would want to live in Glasgow, as if the entire city was nothing but slums. |
