@LadsDavid
Alan Stubbs (4/1) installed as the favourite to replace Paul Hartley
Terry Butcher 6/1
Gary Locke 7/1
Stephen Craigan 8/1
If Craigen gets it, it would be hilarious if they went down

Theres more of a case for him getting it than Gary Locke who's been punted from Killie, Hearts & Raith Rovers in the last 3 years.

Would prefer others in the SPFL to get relegated before Dundee

Namely ICT and or Hamilton
Can I add Motherwell Kilmarnock and Ross County.

Losing 7 in a row, then the concentrated fixtures of the split made it very difficult to see any way out

It's a terrible recent run but there should be long term thinking when you make decisions on whether or not to punt managers.

He could be a good manager whose team have slipped in to a terrible run & he should be given time to turn it around as it won't be permanent, likewise Strachan, people say the SFA are making their decisions on a game to game basis, if you suspect he's not the right guy pull the trigger now & find someone who has your confidence.

In the other extreme imagine a scenario where last year we won the League Cup & scraped through the penalty shoot out v Newco & won the Scottish Cup final, Deila would be a treble winner but we all knew he wasn't the man for the Celtic job, would we have been brave enough to say thanks but it's time to go Ronny knowing he won't get us in the CL?

Probably not because recent form contradicts the reality.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went for Allan Johnston. He's proven himself capable at this level before, and given that Dundee are noted for picking up players from the Championship and below, his knowledge of that level would be useful.

I don't think Kilmarnock fans thought he was capable at this level.

His record there can't be any worse than anyone else Killie have had managing them since they gave Kenny "Arrigo Sachi" Shiels the boot.

I think that accolade still resides with the decision to give joint managership of Palace to Atilio Lombardo and Tomas Brolin.

Zola punted from Birmingham.
I heard earlier that he had 2 wins in 22. If true, and with 3 games left to save their Championship place, it's not exactly a massive shock.

2 wins in 24 according to the BBC.

Ludicrous by the board to sack Gary Rowett when they did, side were sitting 7th at the time, now 3 points above the relegation zone

Ross Jack of St Mirren must be an option for Dundee, good young manager who plays decent football.

Anyone, other than an out of work manager, who takes the Dundee job, is off his head. 5 games to keep them in the SPL and it's more than likely, a very short term gig.

Feel sorry for Hartley but that was an alarming decline.
