"About time really.... He's just another foreign manager embarrassing his club in the premier league!!!! When you look back in recent seasons it's only been English and Scottish managers who have had success. The FA should seriously consider banning managers from abroad and overseas because they have never had success in the premier league."

Found the above comment on the BBC website inrelation to Karanka's sacking. This chap has overdosed on stupidity pills!
Was it Paul Merson?

He's keeping his own counsel after he was ignored by Hull City to replace Mike Phelan with a British, Ex Pro, current Sky analyst.

Thierry Henry.

Frances World Cup winning, European Championship winning, all time leading scorer, Thierry Henry is apparently British.

David Moyes on dropping Sunderland's Didier N'Dong for the visit of Burnley.
'I decided I wanted Jack (Rodwell) and Gibbo (Darron Gibson) together. I thought the game might suit more Britishness in the middle of the pitch.'

What an enlightened man.
N'Dong is just as British as Gibson sure

Thank eff he is nowhere near us.
He's said similar before. A bizarre statement to make.

"He’s composed on the ball, but he needs a lot of schooling and I’ve got an awful lot of work to do on the training ground getting the Britishness into him,” Moyes said. “I don’t want to take out all his natural ability – he’s got good feet, he’s got a great spring – but he’s going to take a lot of work to get him positionally correct.”

Appointing youth team coaches as national team manager Didn't work out for Holland, no surprise. Absolute waste of some serious talent.

It was a very stupid thing for Moyes to say, in a number of ways, and although I am sure Gibson will see himself as Irish and has played for the Republic obviously, technically he is "British" by birth, but Moyes' statement makes him look a bit of a dinosaur and living in the 1970s or worse...short sighted and unenlightened to say the least.
Have to wonder, though, if Gibson told Moyes he isn't a Brit

I did actually think he was the next best alternative after Rodgers, but, along with a lot of people, am questioning my own judgement now

Never fancied moyes. Said this at the time he was being touted that I thought the Man Utd job was too big for him and had mentally scarred him. He would never have been able to cope with being the manager of Celtic. Once he gets punted from Sunderland, and he will. That will be him joining the Alan Curbishleys and Phil browns of this world.

The guy just seems to have zero enthusiasm for the game, Sunderland really suit him, dour, grey and absolutely shampooe.
