Roy Keane tearing into the Irish players after a defeat to Belarus last night.

On Aiden McGeady: ""I think he can do a lot better than last night, but maybe that's the story of Aiden's career."

On team performance in general: "A reality check for one or two players who thought they were good players"

Thank eff he's not our manager.

Ridiculous things to say in public. Not the first day he's had a go at McGeady either.
I agree that he should not be washing his dirty linen in public, but what he has said about McGeady is spot on, though should have been said to the player privately. No doubt Keane will have done so. What the feck is McGeady up to? He did really well in Russia where most Brits can't hack it. Everton should have been tailor made for him on return to the UK, but he couldn't cut it. Given a second chance to redeem himself at Sheffield Wednesday, he couldn't make the first team and was not even wanted for the squad for the play-offs. He has the ability, so the problems must be mental/attitude.
Very frustrating, a bit like David Bentley for me, made loads of money and looks like he can't be arsed anymore.

Funny you mention that, youtube randomly suggested a clip of Bentley saying why he fell out of love with football last night.

Didn't realise he actually jacked it all in.

Seemed like a decent fella to be honest, said that when the money came in to the game everything became too serious and he stopped enjoying it.

He's got a chain of restaurants in Spain  Or he did at the time I watched that video. I agree, he seems quite a decent guy.

More you think about it, would be a decent challenge for him.

I think it would be a dodgy one for him to take. If he can't get a decent job after relative European success with us then what chance does he have if he fails to take Hibs up?

He did ok in Russia.

I don't think Spartak felt they got value for money.

He had a terrible time at Bolton and his stock ain't exactly high. I'm led to believe he stays in Glasgow still so may well see this as the best he can get all things considered.

Folk on here might know better right enough?

I get that Lennon might have left us for personal reasons (which is fair enough) but if he did it to advance his career I reckon it's the worst professional decision he's ever made.

Everything after Celtic (bar a very few small exceptions) is a step back. Nothing comes bigger or better.

Big mistake and now he's on the outside looking in after only two years.

Did he not leave because of the constraints he was working under? At least that's the popular belief anyway.

Bolton wad a disaster for him. Hibs would be a decent return back to management I reckon.

I would like to see Lenny at Hibs and he'd get them promoted. Thought I read he was linked with the Anderlecht job t'other day though :ponder:

I could see Hibs going for McCall though. :boik:

Lennon at Hibs seems like a good idea. Decent chance of getting success in terms of promotion and ample opportunity to get it right round the Diets, which I think Neil would enjoy.
