Brings it on himself.

Genuinely.
No he doesn't, come on.. what do expect the guy to say? I'm sure other fans who are firstly fans of English sides then Celtic would be the same, gie the guy a break - imho :naught:
Erm..naw.

The animosity towards him on here started when he began to have digs at Celtic, especially European results. His wee tin pot side got the easiest draw in the history of the Champions League and he wasn't slow to lay the boot into Celtic not long after it.
eff him, and eff his rancid wee club.

A guy doesn't go from good to crap, there's always reasons. I still am amazed Liverpool sacked Brendan but GIRUY! (tho I do like Liverpool). Ranieri is a good manager, I mean who will they get? Bloody Pardew or the usual crap suspects.
Finished 6th
Finished 2nd
Finished 7th

He became only 2nd Liverpool manager not to win a trophy since before Shankly.

Brendans been brilliant for us, but there was certainly a case for Liverpool punting him.

I actually couldn't give a eff about Leicester one way or the other but this news just makes me really sad for football.

A sorry state of affairs.

if Ranieri was the reason for their success last year, he must be at least partly responsible for their demise this year, surely?

The references to Lenny and Jock Stein were to point out that those on KDS who are infuriated with the news of Ranieri's sacking should be aware that Leicester don't have the monopoly on treating successful managers poorly.

Alex Ferguson record in 1989?

3 League titles, 1 Cup Winners Cup, 1 league Cup & 4 Scottish Cups with Aberdeen.

He had already achieved a level of greatness, it's what entitled him to patience.

I think it's been on the cards for that squad since they lost Kante and failed to add real quality. Last year was a one off and now they have the added complication of playing European football on top of their domestic games.

What I would suggest is the players seem to be cheating their fans as they are managing to still perform in European games despite serving up nonsense week to week.

The league should be their priority. I think there is a strong possibility they will get relegated

Ok maybe I'm in la la land but I thought they were ready to sack him BEFORE any league title? Sorry if that's wrong but still, I think the likes of Leicester will always be going down the Sunderland route of quick fixes after this, which I don't feel is right.

United fans wanted him sacked in 1990, 3 years before he won his first league title with them.

However what he did at Aberdeen bought him time because he was already 1 of the best managers in the world.

The problem with the Ferguson is that he's the exception to the rule, name any other manager that came good after yesrs of failure at a club.

Just when the board felt he'd taken the club as far as he could.

This is pretty effing sad.

One of the greatest achievements in modern football history... Then less than a full season later, he's out a job.

Football can be a funny old game.

Ranieri actually said in October/November that the CL games were their priority. Once they'd qualified he flipped and said that PL was now priority. Always felt it was an error saying that initially (in public anyway) as it gave the players a get out. The intensity has been none existent this season.

Their players just aren't good enough to be going into games with suspect application.
