I wouldn't give manager of the year to Brendan either to be honest.

Football in the main has been pretty poor to watch.
On course for the treble, Europe after Christmas....tough crowd.
Lennon's acheived more than Stevie with limited resources & some shocking refereeing but winning 2 tiles & going for a treble surely has to count , especially after a clean sweep of your nearest challengers ? :suspect:

It’s the turnaround in Kilmarnock’s fortunes that has won Clarke the award.

Hibs probably finished where they were expected to in the league.

I'm really interested to see how Clarke does next season with them. He always does well in his first season ...

Some people are too thick to appreciate the point Brendan was making. :brickwall: He wasn't comparing Killie to firemen, he was complimenting Clarke but even he was too thick to appreciate it. The point was that firemen drilled as well as Clarke has Killie drilled would be tough to break down, much less professional footballers. Simple point well made but misunderstood.
That’s exactly what I heard too.
thank feck for that , i thought exactley the same  i thought i was missing something

I dont grudge clarke winning it to be honest, kilmarnock looked potential relegation jobs before he took over.

He's good at his job.
It’s a good idea to reward managers we would like to stay in the Scottish game.

He’s quickly made Kilmarnock a tough fixture and that in itself is to be respected seeing how frequently smaller clubs ever get turned around.

If he doesn’t see that we need big changes to the squad, then I’m worried. Today was another just appalling performance in a season of really poor league form.

Don’t think many expected to match last years points total but to get 24 points less is pretty poor, the worrying thing is that BR and the players doesn’t seem to care. To say he got what he wanted in January is scary.

I think the reduction in intensity in a lot of games and passing the ball around more is for the purposes of energy conservation. Not many teams will play the number of games we do with as little in terms of a break. That's fine in terms of the bigger picture. The problem in a lot of games has been that because we are so slow we allow teams to get back and stay compact. We end up having to shift the ball out wide a lot and there is very little to hit in the middle.

I definitely think playing two through the middle if we aren't going to have one of our 'big' games will give us more variety and will lead to more space being created.

I'm confident Rodgers realises the extent to which we need improvement in the summer.

The issue is whether the board, with Congerton leading the scouting operation, adequately sign the quality we require.

The first thing he did today, being interviewed right there on the pitch in front of everybody, was to chastise the team for losing the game. The "I've decided he doesn't care so that means he doesn't" crowd are both off the mark and out of order.

Barely cracked a smile when thanking the crowd. He's been noticeably upset with our performances for a while.

After that performance he had to acknowledge it and you wouldn’t expect him to laugh it off either.

He dealt with it well
