There’s fair chance that’s happened down south already. Klopp has taken Liverpool to the CL semi final, which has more than eclipsed BRs achievements, and whilst he did well at Swansea, the likes of Sean Dyche and even more impressively Claudio Ranieri have eclipsed what BR did at Liverpool.
I think he will go in his own time, but he’s not a major target for Arsenal or any of the top six in England. His previous association with Chelsea would maybe see him considered for that position, but my feeling is when he leaves us, he’ll go to Spain.
x 2 , I always had a feeling when he goes it’ll be abroad . Perhaps if Chelsea go for Simone then he could end up at Atletico??
Depends on what we do in Europe, if it's another 3 seasons of doings then his stock wouldn't be high enough for where Atletico are now, more likely a team like Valencia although they're a basket case of a club.

I've a Malaga season book, he'd be welcome down here :)

BR here until the ten is done. Jack Ross will go down south this summer, do a great job for three years and come back to carry on Rodger's legacy. Stay for 3-5 and then the next bright young thing takes over, ad infinitum until 100 in a row is done.

Yep not sure why Summer went off in a rage at Remy passing on information.

Always had a soft spot for Arsenal. Would love to see how Rodgers would do there.

Interesting point regarding the timing of Rodgers' departure. If he leaves at the end of this season his replacement will be shooting for 9 in a row which will be massive. He leaves after 9 then all the heat goes on the guy to do the 10. If he stays for the 10 and leaves then you're the guy replacing the guy who done ten in a row

Tough gig.

Why would he be a shoe-in given that the board picked Ronny D over him last time he was interviewed. Mind you i would have no complaints about Stevie getting the gig

They'd be in the toilet. 11 in a row would be a canter at that point.

He’s certainly a better fit than Gary Loake.

Lawwell picked Ronny. He's back to his normal remit if things are as they seem now.

Not that I want to encourage this blase chat about BR’s seemingy inament (aye, meant it) departure, but does Steve Clarke strike you as a Celtic manager? Done well at Kilmarnock in the 6 months he’s been there, but it is only 6 months, and while there seems to be a general consensus he was harshly treated at West Brom, he didn’t exactly set the heather on fire, either, or at Reading.

Ability aside (and I’m certainly not writing him off on that front), does he have the character for the job? A Celtic manager needs balls of steel at the best of times; he needs to capable of dealing with an aggressively hostile media who are already plumbing new depths of scuminess as we get closer to 10, and being a West of Scotland, (maybe) Celtic supporter is not enough, in itself, to ensure he would cope with that. He might be brimming with charisma and self belief inside, but hides it behind a dour, mumbling, unimpressive demeanour. He’s no BR, Lenny or MON, for sure...

Couldn't care less about somebody's charisma if they produced the goods.

My hope is that while he is here that he has a desire for the job, can see beyond the current dominance and keeps building. Thats the standard we should want and expect for the guy in the main gig. He is the one who has his neck on the line and he should be the one with the authority.

We obviously face a challenge with European football but we could make a decent fight of it and keep raising our profile with the right guy in charge.

Pretty sure Rodgers will want to be leading Celtic through the qualifiers and what will be a really tricky transfer window. Maybe he can see the finish line now, I wouldnt know, but if he is then it could work in our favour too.
