He is a smart man and he will not go to Arsenal at the moment as the fans will demand instant success and /or a bigger name. Not as drastic but its like Moyes taking over from Fergie.

Him being talked about im this light is great, if Arsenal balls up this appointment I can see him going next season when he would be more welcomed

Brendan will be here for the 10 at least.

When the time comes that Brendan leaves Celtic, he will make sure it's the right move for him at the right time. After how he was treated at Liverpool he will be extremely careful. He has a fantastic job managing the team he grew up supporting and is loved by the fans ( well, with some KDS exceptions).

I don't think Arsenal will come calling although they should, they will make the same mistakes that Man Utd made and go through a couple of managers in quick succession.

We will either have Brendan for 10 in a row or wee Lenny back, which would make a certain grumpy KDSer very happy.

Oor Brendan will be here for another season and it will be a very interesting Summer ahead.

Cannot see Brendan heading to Arsenal, aside him saying how happy he is just now, I recall him saying he'd like to manage in Spain. I suspect his next club after Celtic will be outwith UK shores.

Brendan knows the game down south is between the clubs backed by serious money and Arsenal are not one of those clubs. As well run as they might be no sure how they can challenge the money Man City, Utd or Chelsea.

Like others I doubt Arsenal will go near Rodgers. This, however, is the beginning of the end. He won’t be here for ten in a row.
That's interesting, why do you think that ?
It’s utter nonsense. It’s opinion passed off as fact. If that had come from other posters they would be hounded for this unsubstantiated pish but for some reason this guy gets a free pass.

I think Rodgers will see out his contract then look elsewher if we clinch ten. He's a fan, he wants to be remembered forever. Ten puts him up there with O'Neill and Stein.

Also, things are changing. Lawwell has already alluded to that. Five/six years from now I think Celtic will be in a whole different place.

That’s a strange take on it. Of course he has, I never said otherwise.

Europe will be big for us and him next season.

As much as I do believe he will see out his full contract we can't take another year of maulings. As long as we do things right here marching on to 10, filling the cabinet up with everything going, developing a young hungry team and slowly but surely competing in the CL with them I think he'll stay as the chance to go back down to a big English club should always be there but the opportunity to do what he is doing right now at Celtic won't.

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

I don't believe its all about the results and trophies for Brendan, but the work that is going on behind the scenes and what he is putting in place for Celtic for the future.

Once he's done all that he can for the club, then I can see him leaving but that time isn't now, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him go to a European club. He has done the EPL with a massive team already, so why not try something different after us? Listening to the British press, you wouldn't think there's a job worth taking outside the EPL at times.

How did I shampooe it? You’re post was written like a effing know it all when you clearly know as little as the rest of us. It’s really not that hard. Read your post again. Quite obvious where I’m coming from.

Just from comments he made a few months ago. Specifically, Scottish teams would be appearing in the Europa League proper within the next five or six years. I think he knows something is coming, maybe a euro league.
