Nah, I would have put Bonner in there too.

I think he was obviously adding his favourite players as well as some of the best.

It would be fun seeing what everyone’s favourite X1 would be. Players you just loved even though better ones have played in their position.

I guarantee that in the recesses of his mind, he's wondering if he could possibly be the first Celtic manager never to lose to any team called Rangers.

I know that I am!

BRENDAN RODGERS has prepared to clinch seven-in-a-row for Celtic and told the fans: I’ve still got plenty to achieve here.

The Hoops boss — on course for an unprecedented double Treble — has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea.

But Rodgers is adamant he’s not looking to leave Parkhead any time soon and couldn’t be happier with life in Scotland.

Celtic will wrap up another title with victory over Hibs at Easter Road this weekend.

And Rodgers — who is still under contract for another three years — insisted: “There is still plenty of work for me to do, to achieve, on the pitch and off the pitch.

“But you can only do that if you are happy — and I couldn’t be happier at this club.

“The support I get from the board, it is all very aligned, very clear.

“That allows me to work in confidence and that gives stability to the team and staff and we can all move forward.

“I am looking to the next step to take and already we are thinking how we can improve for next year, how we can be better in all aspects.

“I couldn’t have wished for it to have gone any better. You always hope you come into a club and make an impact.

“But that is all down to the players and their ability to learn and take things on board. They have been absolutely fantastic.

“I talk to them about this ferocious intent to keep on developing. I see that every day and they then take it on to the field.

“It has been a joy to see that and we want to continue with that.”

Desperate to wreck Celtic’s planned championship party in the capital is Rodgers’ predecessor Neil Lennon.

He has his sights set on a sensational second-place finish for the Hibees in their first season back in the top flight.

Rodgers added: “Knowing Neil as I do, he will be doing everything he possibly can to do that.

“He has his professional pride as well. He wants his team, who have been great this year for him, to continue with their challenge in the league.

“So it is probably the most difficult game we could have had to play. We respect that and get ready for it.”

Rodgers, meanwhile, expressed sympathy for under-fire Graeme Murty.

The Rangers boss has been left shaken by last week’s 4-0 hammering by Celtic at Hampden and the post-match recriminations which led to suspensions for Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace.

He said: “It is not easy, management, when you are out in that situation, with 50,000 passionate supporters and you have to think as clearly as you can under huge pressure and expectation.

“I have empathy for every manager and for Graeme in his situation.

“And when you are trying to develop an environment and culture to improve in, being in command is lonely because you are always having to think and everything else is developing around you.

“But that’s what you have to do as a leader. You have to manage the expectations of your supporters, your board and players and look to try to lead.

“I am fortunate here, since I came in. I had a good feeling when I spoke to Dermot Desmond and Peter Lawwell at that very first meeting.

“I am fortunate that I am at a club that has that stability which allows me to develop it from a football perspective.”

I really think he will see out his whole contract here. I believe going down as one of our greatest ever - not just managers - and achieving the 10 appeals to him massively.

First time I have had the time to watch that. Whilst I may disagree with some selections, the piece only underlines how much Brendan loves the Celtic.

35 mate, I attended games with McGrain, McStay, McClair, McLeod & McAvennie etc.. but I didn't fully appreciate or understand until around 1990ish, 91-92 was my first full season going week in week out and as much as I loved those mentioned above I just never thought I seen the best of them in a Celtic shirt

You attended games since 1991/2 yet pick Van Hooijdonk? And, along with DiCano, was a mercenary bastard? Mental.
