I swear to eff that these moaning gits would complain about Celtic beating Barcelona 5-1 in the Champions League Final because Craig Gordon didn't save Lionel Messi's 90th minute consolation goal from the penalty spot

Or rage that they are bored if Celtic win 10-in-a-row and five Trebles in a row

Aren't football players supposed to enjoy playing effing football?

Wanting to eventually step up a level is a separate issue, day to day you'd expect them to actually enjoy being out of the field playing. Its no excuse, Larsson looked just as delighted scoring against Livingston as he did in the Champions League.
Well said m8  .

This thread is mental - all of a sudden people happy to see BR go for someone that wants it more - get Lenny back - BR not worth the money?

Not every season is a potent mix of beauty and entertainment - some you just win

Honest to god

Whilst there is justified disappointment with many of our performances this season, some of the entitlement on here is staggering. Yes we are much richer than the competition, but that did not enable Lennon or Deila to win a treble, let alone two. We have been up for, and won, every domestic game we had to win. That's an incredible level of performance.

Europe has been poor, but getting there in the first place should not be taken for granted. We need to improve once we are there, but doubtless Rodgers knows this and wants more success as much as the rest of us.

It's fair enough to criticise the team and manager for some of our games this season, but no need to go off the deep end.
Agree with all of this.

You cant have it both ways though.

You cant state that we cant compete in Europe because of finances, then say finances dont matter as much when trying to excuse poor domestic performances. We are also have the most resources by far of any team we are likely to face in European qualifiers.

Scoring is one thing but being a player and maintaining 100% motivation and concentration for 60 games in a season, year after year will take its toll. Even those of us lucky enough to enjoy our jobs know there are days and weeks you put in 'good enough' effort. We all know players are paid loads, they should be giving 100% etc but in reality it doesn't happen at this level.

We have to perform our job 40-60hrs a week.

They have their real jobs for a max 4.5hrs a week. We're bending over backwards for these guys these days. It's sickening.

I'd give my fat arse too be a pampered footballer. Swanning about moaning about being tired, you don't know what tired is you manicured fairy arse, ( not you smiley)

I thought I read that Celtic were 1 of only 2 teams to get through to the UCl group stage from the Champions route.

Might seem shabby to some, but in reality we're doing a lot better than others at our level (don't want to get into a finance argument with others please).

Think there's a few things re this season.
Last season was a one off, can't see an unbeaten treble ever happening again.
We were fantastic, couldn't have asked for more.
Our injuries this year have been a big issue.
This league can pull any team down to it's level and it does, but as a fan i enjoy beating all of the teams we play.
BR is a brilliant manager imo and i'am glad we have him.
We will win the treble this year for the second time in succession ....What more do you want??
I hope as the song goes "BR is here for ten in a row"....To all lurkers it's coming!!!
