We are doing just enough to get the title.
What a poor attitude if so. We could get any diddie in with our resources to do that.

May as well save 2m and take Clarke on.

And his blind spot with Sinclair continues. No way does that guy deserve a start.
I agree it's a poor attitude to have.

Hopefully we can finish the season with a bit of flair.
No indication of this at all. This season has been full of jam tomorrow. Once "we get new players / go out of Europe / winter break / go out of Europpe 2 / get our injured players back " we'll start playing again.

Teams have the right idea against us, we don't play the right players to counteract and/or cant be arsed.

A lot of truth in this.

Our set up and team selections are generally wrong to break down the defensive set up we face week after week in the SPL which is really everybody behind the ball in two banks leaving one upfront and hit on the break.Sometimes his subs work like at The Midden sometimes like last night they don't but that aspect I can accept to a certain extent.

Difficult to know if certain players can't be arsed as I would like to think if Rodgers thought that they would be binned but one thing is for sure some are playing with sheer complaceny which is not good enough whether the league is won or not in their minds.

Like you say there's a marked difference in application between Pittodrie, Ibrox and the pish we've watched at home this season CB. Frankly, it's been humming.

We're awash with money in comparison to the league. We really should be flattening teams. I get that we wont every week but the change from last year to this is remarkable and the trend needs to be reversed.

If that was Deila last night, people including myself, would have been popping eyeballs.

A large portion of our squad are phoning it due to lack of motivation and/or because they'll be off in the summer.

The workrate is a fraction of what it was last season and it shows.

Rodgers likes to use the difference in budget between ourselves and the teams we play in Europe to justify our doings.

The discrepancy is probably much bigger domestically. Yet we are not showing it enough. The drop off in standards from last year is marked. We don't press teams any more nor do we move ball quickly and score the quantity of late goals we did in each half. We are going for a treble but everything is really flat just now.

We've dropped 12 away and 12 at home.

Our home form is more concerning.

Dembele isn't the type of CF we need at home. He isn't needed to hold the ball up and doesn't offer an aggressive attack on cross balls. We need to buy a proper striker (and some decent cover at full back). If Rogers hasn't sussed out that this league is stuffed full of packed defences that only come out when they have to win a point back rather than keep the one they start with.

He might be a coach with a modern view on how football should be played, but he's lost half of his home points to bottom six teams who barely mustered a dozen shots and one goal (a gift) in three games.

There's a Deila level feel to our finishing at the moment. 26 shots last night, 7 on target. Almost three quarters off target, and none of those that did hitting the net.

Our shot conversion is likely way down on last season.

It has been the same against all of these teams at home for as long as I can remember. Get the early goal from one of your very presentable chances and that'll be that. The lack of sharpness is his responsibility.

Ross County. 25 shots, 8 on target.

Armstrong and Rogic were far better on Saturday but still created last night. You’re bang on regards the finishing.

We start far too slowly. Dundee were nervous and had made a few changes last night yet like just about every game - we let them feel their way into it until we had the ridiculous situation from around midway through the first half that they looked as likely to score first as Celtic did.

This slow start happens most games, you can only blame the players for so much.

Oddest thing about Rodgers at the moment is the number of his own signings he seems to have discarded. The best right back at the club - Gamboa - can’t get a game for love nor money. The two signings he went all in for in January - Compper and Musonda - have turned into the invisible men. Yet some of the inconsistent players he inherited from previous regimes like Armstrong, Boyata and Lustig (two of whom have been subbed at half-time in recent games due to having absolute howlers) always seem to find their way back into the side.
I doubt Gamboa is even the best right back in his house.
I don’t know what Gamboa’s living arrangements are but, aside from a couple of European games where the whole team looked out of its depth, he’s always seemed solid to me and a very good attacking weapon against packed defences due to his pace.
Completely agree on Gamboa I feel everyone is judging him on his European performances, he’s looked more than decent enough domestically.

Your first sentence says it all. Domestically, we turn up when we need to. BR shouldn’t be tolerating complacency but it’s been evident in a lot of our home games and it shows no sign of changing. Wouldn’t be happening if we weren’t on easy street and we couldn’t afford to be shedding points at such a rate.

It needs sorted and it won’t be easy at this stage of the season. The danger is we take form like this into one of the cup games. We should be flat out in the remaining matches.

That must be about 5 or 6 league games we've failed to score in. Been a fair few we've only managed one anaw. The quality of play this season is up there with the worst iv saw since the mid 90s. We need more from Rodgers.

He obviously has a top football brain the gaffer but his stubbornness is really irritating. Goes hand in hand with his Champions League team setups and the doings we got....yet smaller clubs get results against them by setting up different. “This is the way I play so take it or lump it” does not make sense. I think it was a fair bit embarrassing some of the results & performances in there albeit Anderlecht away got us through to Europa.

He obviously sees Boyatas limited ability and even worse his mistakes. Yet plays him. If he is our best defender then god help us. Why buy Compper & not play him.

Sinclair has not kicked a ball most of the season (albeit scored a few)...gets a game most of the time. Roberts Musonda sitting playing with their balls on the bench

Lustig is done. Gamboa is not the best but should be playing in front of him at the moment or even Ralston (don’t know why he was allowed to Utd when Lustig is clearly wasting)

Moussa has been patchy at best. We have had injuries upfront granted but dembele showing up for 1 in 3 games merits others starting.

Gaffer sees this yet continues with the same players constantly and performances this season has been woeful.

One or two in the know on here saying big summer coming..i fecking hope there is as the team needs gutted. Alas the recent Celtic way of doing things confirms to me that will be a non starter come JUne/July.

100%

Come the summer we will hear about the clear out and revolving door again however the sound bites will then come out about good players become available after the world cup/end of the window, we will then scrape through the CL qualifying and sign a player from the EPL on loan and all will be forgotten ... sound familiar ? :ponder:

Think he decided Edouard and Dembele can't play together. We've looked more exciting, unpredictable and dangerous when they do. It reminds me now of Ronny's stringent unwillingness to play two Forwards together. We play ultra defensive sides repeatedly per season in Scotland and we need to make our own fun, the same approach and tactics up to four times a season becomes a little tedious when it's not producing good football, goals or results.

Dembele is getting zero service in too many of these games now.

He does spend a tremendous amount of time dicking about 25 yards from goal instead of getting right into the middle of the goals though.

He had one on a plate after five minutes last night and kicked it straight at the keeper.

When we've seen him stay high he sometimes doesn't get a touch. I agree it's frustrating to see him deep so often but the alternative is that he's a decoy. He's a top player, give him proper service.
