Why oh effing why? We won! Boyata was the wrong choice in hindsight but it was a straight choice between him and Hendry. In no other way was the line up wrong. Unless our keeper is like Buffon, our defenders Beckenbauer-esk, our midfielders as good as Maradonna and our forwards can score like Van Basten there is always some carrot complaining.
On another day, with Boyata fitter or Compper up to speed and there wasn't a shampoo referee, that would have ended up 4 or 5 to us. As it is 3-2 with ten men, at their midden feels absolutely effing tremendous. Why pick the effing bones. Enjoy it you miserable shower of bastards.
Same scheidt, same flies.

Doesn't have the Sun have real stories to report, like Morelos to China for £12m?

Rodgers is going to be linked with every English Premier job that comes up. We'd better get used to it.

No chance Rodgers will go to Southampton. The whole club is setup for a disposable coach to be in charge of the first-team, so I doubt they’d be interested in him either.

Not many managers are going to win at Pittodrie and Ibrox with ten men. And not even seeing games out. Scoring with ten men.

:theclap:
Yep yet he is still being criticized. Mental stuff.

I'm not enamoured with his starting line-ups.
yip.

First half we were all over the shop. Brendan takes plenty of plaudits for his in-game management, needs to start making the right decisions before the games starts.
Such a simplistic way to look at it. Edouard is excellent at getting in behind and that’s easier as players tire. Playing Boyata was a risk that didn’t pay off for him.

All over the shop? They had 3 real attack’s in the first half. We pinned them back for a good 25 minutes.
Agree with this.

We dominated the majority of the first half.

How many times did Brendan talk about how important the team that ends the game is?

If he had picked Hendry from the start, people would be moaning as well.

We have an exceptional manager but even he makes daft decisions just like the rest of us.

Indeed. He’s made his share of inexplicable decisions: going toe to toe with PSG, not starting Ntcham against the Hun at Parkhead, starting Boyata at Ibrox - but the way he handled the game in the second half-especially after the red card- was evidence of his brilliance.

We didn't have a great start with some bad errors but for the majority of the first half I thought we were quite comfortable. Jozo and McGregor had two good chances and we had about 10 corners.

I don't think we will see a back 3 against the huns again. At times they were blindly launching it quickly into the corners and got a bit of joy.

It was football from the dark ages but it was effective

Got our centre halves caught on the turn and got on top of us, pressuring our players into mistakes

If that's the best they've got, I think we'll be alright in the cup game

We settled down, once we equalised, but those suggesting we weren't in any real bother are at it.

Morelos gave our CB's a torrid time despite his woeful finishing.

No matter who we play there will always be a few mistakes during a game and quite often any goals that are conceded are down to errors.

It’s been fun being light years ahead of everyone, especially the Huns. But it’s important to expect competition eventually and not see other teams getting closer as a sign of us regressing.

Boyata made some daft mistakes, but he wasn’t match fit. We know his limitations, but he has the experience which was important going in to that game. If Hendry has been caught short at the start it may have been a longer road back than it was for Boyata.

We didn't play a back three on Sunday, though.

Except for Morelos being clean through on our goalkeeper prior to the equaliser.

He was flagged offside - wrongly

2nd goal was a mess too

Which again came from the ref not giving us a clear foul.

See this mince about Morelos :ffs: He gave no one a torrid time. Absolutely no one.

One of his chances was down to a eff up by Boyata and even then he is too pish to take advantage. And then there was his miss that made his last open goal miss look a tough chance.

He puts himself about but he very rarely beats a defender or runs at them. He also won very little in the air. Mental to say he gave us a torrid time. It just didn't happen.
