Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
He's got his new pitch to look forward to :arrr:
Ha ha true, mate :)

If we manage to pull off the back to back trebles then, Brendan might feel he can't do much more with us.

away and geez piece

Brendan signed a 4 year deal and will honour it, he could have quite happily kept the 1 year rolling contract but he wanted to show the fans and players he was fully committed, unless we suddenly start falling behind sevco, lose the league, fail to qualify for Europe and lose all our best players there is no way he will be sacked or walk out.

I do think though that if we lose against them on Sunday and in the semi he will see that as a serious failure on his part and he will not be happy, these are two massive games for sevco and us, they won't be a walk over and will seriously fancy their chances, they are winning games and scoring goals, these are maybe Brendan's biggest domestic games so far.

They're at their most vulnerable when the confidence is oozing out them

Getting on a bit

There was a long discussion on Sky’s Sunday Supplement yesterday regarding the possibility of Rodgers going to Arsenal. General consensus from the journos on there was that his poor final 12 months at Liverpool has effectively ruled out his chances of landing that sort of job. One of them - who clearly doesn’t follow Scottish domestic football - used the fact we conceded a goal against Zenit inside ten minutes in Russia as evidence of his supposed tactical naivety that fans of the major clubs in England consider him to have.

The comparison between us and them in a 90s role reversal is now pretty much ubiquitous but I remember so many times we were out of it by Xmas, commence a huge pointless charge up the league, get within touching distance and get kicked in the balls in a must win game. Again. I really hope the comparison continues!

Only difference is the the reporting. They need to win every game from here on in, just to get themselves into a title race.

They’ve (media) been desperately waiting on an opportunity got try and make them relevant once again.

We’ll win on Sunday, then the angle will shift back to how well they’ve done to even be considered title challengers.

We didn’t ever consider them to be title challengers - they did.

Good thing is our players are usually in a lose lose situation and don’t get any credit for beating this mob, whilst running the risk of being a laughing stock if we were to lose.

The Huns are coming :zombie: :lolhuns:

Brendan was blaming the first half performance against Morton (partly) on the extended time between games.
I was disappointed to hear that because it's absolute nonsense. If anything the team needed more rest. I'm not sure how much more time on the training ground you needed to pump Morton.

No he wasn't. He was blaming it on not being able to train because of the weather. Said they only had one session on the pitch since the last game and that's why they looked so rusty.

That's rubbish from him though.
How can a team get rusty in a week?

Doesn't seem to matter who he plays, though - we always look rusty these days.

We were nowhere near as bad as some of the resident hyperbole pedlars on here would have you believe. Played in second gear and yet could still have been 3 nil up at half time were it not for a goal line clearance and two excellent saves.

So that's why he changed it then?

I must admit, I'm beginning to have reservations about his team selections, particularly in the bigger games.

Playing is second gear isn't an excuse. Playing in second gear is a problem.

Who said it's an excuse? We won comfortably in a game where all that really mattered was the win.
