Comparing Rodgers to MON is nonsense.

Totally pointless as well.

Rodgers faces a real test for the first time. Massive game today.
So, how did he do?

Nonsense to say it was his first test as Celtic manager.

A lot of hundercovers on here but what's worse are the Celtic fans who have shat their breeks because a pish sevco have got a few wins under their belt.

Very few people shat themselves due to the huns or anyone else for that matter. People are less than impressed with performances which isn't unfair.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers claims rivals 'have been on holiday' as he lays down gauntlet to Rangers and Aberdeen

He told BBC Sportsound: "It was a fantastic win for us. We're on an even playing field now with most of the other teams, 10 games to go.

"Some teams around us have been on holiday for a year with virtually one game a week. We've dealt with everything up until this point now.

"With 10 games to go we can really focus and concentrate domestically on what has been a really great season so far.

"One or two teams around us have got pressure now, when they've been playing with no pressure a lot of the season.

"So we look forward to finishing off the season well."

If Celtic keep winning games then when do we mathematically seal the title?

7 wins in a row from now does it unless the first game after the split is the huns in which case then its 6 games in a row.

This video from August before we played Astana is pretty interesting as it shows how little our tactics have really changed since then, looks like teams have begun to figure us out and we need to try to find a creative system for the personnel we have.

Brendan is a tad annoyed methinks and some are having their dinner served.

Key players are coming back from injury,no Europe, the focus is on the league and the Cup.

Beat Dundee and Morton and have a full week to prepare for skelping the Manky Mob at the Midden.

Can anyone remember such a dramatic drop in form under any other manager?

Anyway, he seems to be getting needled a bit recently, I think it's only making him more determined to win another treble. I think we'll start hammering teams again, should be a brilliant end to the season.

It isn't really a dip in form. We're still the dominant team. It's more a case that our style of play just isn't as good as it was. Hopefully that'll come though.

Unless you're referring to last season's form compared to this? Which would be unfair. Last year was a freak season.

Well it is a dip in form - In as much as we're not playing well.

And as much as I accept last year was a "freak season" I don't think it was a fluke or luck, I think that would be a massive disservice to the squad and the manager. It was down to the manager and the players performing at their absolute best for the majority of the season, I don't think we've been performing at out best for even a fraction of that compared to last year.

So aye, we've gone from losing 0 games to potentially only losing two but it's the performances I'm more concerned about.

Performances have been poor. The style of play has too often been reminiscent of Lennon and Deila rather than anything resembling last year's brilliance.

It isn't luck but it's still a freak season that shouldn't be used as the benchmark. You literally can't better perfection.

Yep - Again though, I'm not asking why we're not improving on last season's results.
I'm asking why the performances have dropped so much and if anyone can remember this happening before.

Well you like said, players were performing at their absolute best. To have so many players doing that at the one time is uncommon and a drop off from some was probably to be expected. Maybe other teams are just better prepared to face us now tbf.

I think BR rotates too much which won't help and obviously injuries have taken their toll. The impact guys like Roberts and Armstrong have on the style of play is massive.

I’m hoping he’s realised his aim of only having 23 first team players won’t work at a club like Celtic. I was initially supportive of that target but it’s now obvious that Celtic players are under more physical strain than players at clubs like Liverpool. The sheer volume of games, the randomness of the pitches and the fact Scottish refs let opposing players get away with acts of brutality put more toll on out players bodies than they’d get elsewhere. We need a massive squad.

I can see him leading us undefeated to the end of the season, I would go as far as saying we will probably win every game.

If teams can adapt to play against us then we have to adapt to beat them.

Stubbornly trying to pass our way through teams like Barcelona doesn't work in every game because, simply, we are not Barcelona.

Our build up play consists of a lot of players watching the man with the ball instead of dragging defenders away with runs etc.

I hope we put in a few enjoyable performances before the end of the season.
