The more I see of Davies the more i'm convinced he'll be our next manager.
He'll be a manager in the next few years, but not us.

I'd hope Lenny is our next boss whenever Brendan decides to leave.

Lennon's a much better shout than a young albeit very impressive assistant with no previous managerial experience.

We got Rodgers because of his affinity to the club. We certainly wouldn't be getting anyone of that pedigree again.

Lennon guided us from complete disarray under Mowbray to the last 16 in the Champions League. The board then stopped backing him financially.

He was a great manager for us.

If he does a half decent job at Kilmarnock it would be hard to imagine anyone else would get it should Rodgers not stick around for the 10.

Can’t see Clarke doing another 3 and a bit years at Killie waiting however.

Certainly better than some of the managers we've had. Great? I'm not having that.

Stevie Clarke was convinced he had the job prior to Ronnie D being appointed

I've mentioned Clarke a few times when we've been looking, wanted him to replace Lennon and he was my realistic replacement for Deila - never in a million years thought we'd get Brendan, happy to have been proven wrong there :worthy:

Difficult to gauge since we have so many injuries.

He's got a real dilemma with team selection tonight.

Agree. For all the talk of Zenit having more money than us, the reason we brought in Brendan was to find a solution to that. The showing in Europe this season was pretty dismal with some frankly awful performances along the way.

All you want tonight is a performance of a level that matches or comes close to Zenit. Setting up correctly, making sure the team are organised and know their roles, getting his team selection correct.

Definitely.

When we got to the CL group stages the general consensus was we would welcome Europa League participation in 2018 as that was our level. Hopefully we can qualify that opinion tonight with a good performance and a win.
