It's turning into madhouse in here. Think of what we've achieved and are in a position to achieve this year.

We have major players coming back this week from injury and we'll be seeing Compper coming in to help steady at the back. A good performance against Zenit will cheer everyone up. Hopefully.

I agree with what someone posted earlier, that perhaps certain players too their foot off the gas with an eye on Thursdays game, it happens.

I hope you're right about Compper being a steadying influence, but I doubt if I have ever witnessed such faith being placed in a £1 million 33 year old defender. If he's half as good as many on here are expecting, he's going to be some player.
Fair enough.

I have faith in BR's ability to judge a player as I'm sure others will too and hopefully Compper will be just what we need. We'll be a in a different place as a team in a couple of weeks time with the injuries behind us and an excruciatingly long transfer window well behind us.

We've got some excellent talent in the squad now. These next two Zenit games will give a good gauge of where we are and I think we have the players to get points home and away.

We could maybe ask McGregor to drive the team bus?

He looks a totally different character from last year.

I wouldn't be surprised if he left at the end of the season.
Nonsense.

He wouldn't be making signings like Hendry and Morgan if he wasn't here for the long term.

Here for 10 in a row.

When he signed comper he could see we needed a steady cb, it was very unfortunate that he got injured at the training camp. That has changed the dynamics at the back and I don't think simunovic would be starting if commper was available. Ajer is a good player, jack hendry looks like a poor mans john stones and I can see what Brendan is trying to do to upgrade the back line. Lustig falls over like he's been shot and isn't as dynamic as I'd like at rb. Goalkeeping situation is out of his hands (pardon the pun) after Gordon's injury. Compper will be an upgrade when fit. (Notice I spelled Compper differently three times to ensure I got it right once).
your comment on jack hendry is shocking :cuckoo: i really dont understand some folk on here
You think it's shocking to compare Hendry to a £50million England international? :suspect:

In fairness, if he applies himself and keeps improving he may one day become a poor man’s John stones.

He'll be a manager in the next few years, but not us.

I'd hope Lenny is our next boss whenever Brendan decides to leave.

It doesn’t gauge where we are, we’ve got a full team out injured.
