Not a happy man in his post match interview
Thought he looked very concerned.
Like Theresa May at a Cabinet meeting.

He should try sitting in the stand watching it. He sets us up to play as if we have Maldini and Beckanbauer at the back instead of a couple of calamities. Only he can change this crap system.

He must be as confused as us as to why we look half as good as we where last season, it's like night and day. The players look happy enough but a few of attitudes on the park need sorting out.

Has he tinkered too much with the tactics, the defence is shocking and doesn't seem to be improving any, the keeper situation is worrying as well because ddv looks pretty shampoo.

We need a whole new back line.
The catalyst today was losing a goal and it completely changed the game, we regularly fall apart after losing a goal, it happens too often.

Another centre half, right back, cover for KT and a number ten - but one with presence.
Keep Ajer and Tierney, Hope Compper works out, Lustig used sparingly and sell every cant else.

If Dembele goes get a hard bastard forward who is a nightmare to play against. We are far too lightweight.

I'm new. Be gentle.
What's interesting is that when Sevco eliminated us on pens under Deila, it was almost universally agreed that we needed a total rebuilding job, minimum 7 new signings required etc. Yet it could transpire that we may end up winning consecutive trebles, having also secured consecutive UCL qualifications, but the proper rebuild actually occurs this summer in preparation for Brendan's 3rd season in charge.

It's testament to Rodgers' incredible man management and coaching abilities that we transformed as a team, despite only 2 players (Sinclair & Dembele) really being added to a nucleus that declined so badly under the previous manager.

But reviewing our squad, there are only 12 players I reckon will definitely be at Celtic in September 2018: Ajer, Hendry, Compper, Tierney, Forrest, Brown, Ntcham, McGregor, Musonda, Sinclair, Griffiths & the soon-to-arrive Lewis Morgan. Added to them being youngsters who aren't loaned out i.e. Ralston.

Dembele, Armstrong & Simunovic will almost certainly leave. Fringe players like Gamboa, DDV & Bitton are likely to leave. Kouassi & Hayes may be in the former category, albeit loaned out in late August. Roberts, Edouard and Bain almost certainly won't be signed permanently. Boyata & Rogic aren't 100% certs to stay.

Whether Gordon stays or not (likely to stay IMO), we need to strengthen the GK position. Similarly whether Lustig stays or not (again likely to stay) we need to bolster the RB area. Tierney needs credible competition, Brown remains pivotal but isn't getting any younger, we'll need a striker or two whilst hoping Griffiths sorts out his recent injury problems.

Out of 5 first team loanees out (Sviatchenko, Christie, Allan, Benyu & Ciftci), only Christie has a chance of a future at the club.

Here's hoping Brendan is emphatically backed by the board in the summer, as he has earned it tenfold & the squad very much requires it.

Need to starting hunting the ball back instantly after losing the ball. We done it last year and we were so dangerous . This season there isn’t a hunger to win it quickly . That’s the problem. It’s the same players so we know they are capable of it . Manager needs to bring that back out in them

I wouldn't be surprised if he left at the end of the season.

I find this stuff re 'less points' than Deila more than a little odd. Ronny Deila's league form was not the problem. It was his apparant inability to win a big game. Legia, Maribor, Malmo, Molde.... they were an embarrasment and when you throw the domestic cup competitions into the mix along with the humiliation of being played off the park by Sevco.... that is the reason Deila chose to fall on his sword. Using two league title wins as a stick to beat Rodgers with when the squad has won four trophies out of four and qualified for the Champions League twice on the trot is bizarre.
Musthave missed the game we’re Sevco “played us off the park”

If, as expected, we lose to ZSP I don't really see him hanging around much longer than that.

Is Brendan maybe bored?

Hes realized he doesn't have to be full on 100% to win games, no need to study opposition that much and knows whatever he does he will be loved by the fans. Improvement in Europe is still going to hit the PSG/Barcelona wall no matter how we improve, though a properly organized defence would help if hes into that.

All thats naturally going to lose you your edge and motivation even if just slightly.

 It’s like one of those optical illusions where people can’t see that the two lines are actually parallel.

We were pish, miles below our level. They were decent, much better than their level. What that actually meant was that both teams were about even on the day.

Yep and it's really great to watch when they do it well, hunting it down in packs. The counter-press or 3 second rule popularised by Guardiola and Klopp (amongst others).

The reaction to losing the ball has been quite slow this season. The team is often quite stretched from defence to middle to the attacking players rather than a unit pushing up and closing down. That and there's a lack of width in possession.

There's a book 'Pressing' by a coach called Massimo Lucchesi and it's worth a read if you're into this kind of thing. It has a section on what he calls the 'psycho-physical' condition of players regarding a high-pressing style - a mixture of the physical fitness to chase the ball down but also a mental aspect to be prepared to. They could be physically fit enough but not feel the same mentally. There's also the feeling of risk attached to it - e.g. from leaving spaces in behind them - which players must be comfortable with, so a team not firing on all cylinders or fully confident may not be as up to it.

EDIT: good piece here on the same stuff - https://coachdibernardo.com/2016/07/14/counter-pressing-or-gegenpressing-key-concepts/
