If this team goes into the split with a 3 or 4 point lead which isn’t unreasonable given some performancies then it really is squeaky bum time.
Gets paid in year more than many of us will see ina lifetime and needs to earn it now. That today was like watching a Brady team
3-4 point lead?

Not going to happen.
sorry I disagree - It is a possibility!

We have taken our eye off the ball domestically. The motivation of the team is severely lacking.
The gap has been at 8pts consistently since September. It's not been eaten to, and we have players coming back from injury who will help our creativity.

We'll win it very handsomely.

For the first time, I'm beginning to worry quite a bit about his judgement.
Yeah :(
Yeah his team selection this season has been questionable and his set ups at times.

Massive fan of the gaffer but he can be a bit stubborn from what ive seen/heard on interview he is not criticism free at times ....

Should not have changed the team after Wednesdays performance

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Clarke is a very good manager. Kilmarnock were excellent and we had an off day.

We will this league by a considerable margin.

It's the same off day we've seen before, though; that's the worry. If the wide men aren't at it we can't break down a team who are very well organised. Rodgers needs to accept that he can't always win 'pretty'. effing get it into their box, win a header, bang in a loose ball. Killie then have to change it up and THEN you can play your normal passing game. We could have played another 95 minutes and not scored, today.
I agree with you. We should have switched it up a little.

No danger of throwing the league away. Biggest thing to worry about with these fairly regular crap performances is possibly losing against the huns. Right now I'm not ruling that out.

In his defence I think the two early injuries impacted on his ability to influence the game as it went.

I don't think it will happen but it's not impossible. Tbf we took 6 points from 9 from Hibs Hearts Killie, and they're some of the better sides. We should not be writing off the challenge though. That's been our main problem this season, complacency.

Probably not allowed to criticise Rodgers but it certainly looks like he’s lost the dressing room.

Everybody is allowed to make mistakes. Rodgers made one today and he'll learn from it.

Some of the comments I heard at the game were unbelievable. The best though was "Rodgers style of football is shampooe and we're going backwards playing it.

we have certainly gone backwards this season....

And while his style of football is not shampoo - it is when played at such a slow pace

I am in no way agreeing with the comments you heard at the game however, depending on what you think the "mistake" was, it could be argued that he has made it numerous times in the past and has repeatedly failed to learn. By refusing to ever try and grind out a win through a more direct approach, he makes it very easy for organised teams to shut us out.

This season:

Rosenborg at home.
Ross County away (needed a Griffiths free-kick out of nothing to take the points).
Hearts away.
Huns at home.
Killie away.

There's sticking to a philosophy and then there's not learning. Sometimes instead of repeatedly trying to run through or round the side of a wall, try going over it.

His mistake for me was not going to a 4-3-3 after Boyatas injury.

Instead of using this season as an example when the majority of our creative players or forwards have been injured you might be best looking at how many times we were shut out last season.

Rodgers style of football won us an undefeated treble and we are on course to win another treble - we are by no means going "backwards" from what was in place before he arrived.

edit - also, going back to front is a dream for SPFL defences. They'd have dealt with that easier.

Dealt with it easier??

We didn't have a shot on target until 89 minutes.....we asked very few questions of that Killie defence today.

We got in behind a few times and the final ball was pish.

They'd have ate up the long ball.

People are so quick to have a go at the style of play when we don't score but it doesnt mean aimlessly lumping it forward when we only had one guy in the front 7 capable of winning a header on the park is what we should have done.

We couldn't have been any easier to deal with today. The last part of the match we looked like a team individuals doing their own thing. Early injuries wouldn't have helped organisation but still.
