From the highs of last season to what we are seeing now is typical celtic, we have a record of failing to build on success and instead the board seem to think we should stall because what we have is good enough, any manager is going to be pissed off with that never mind a manager like Brendan who was no doubt promised certain things when he took the job.
None of us know what's going on behind the boardroom doors but we do know Brendan was pissed off when his targets didn't arrive last January and it looks like the same thing is happening just now, but there is still over a week to go and hopefully Brendan gets the signings he wants in that time, he has earned the money and will expect a decent chunk of it for transfers, my fear is if he feels he isn't being backed he might get disheartened and start to think about moving on.
The press are all over sevco just now and it's fair to say quite a few celtic fans are annoyed at our lack of activity, some of the posts on here and on other sites are unreal, reading them you would think we are battling relegation and it's us chasing sevco. If at the end of the window we are no stronger and Brendan is still pissed off that's when we should start demanding answers.
Right enough. I'll get the pitchforks if you bring the fire.

With Nir Bitton also a centre-back option, Rodgers said central defence wasn’t a priority area: “Not for me, no”.
That's slightly worrying.
i think we will bring another cb in if/when jozo is punted this month Yeah, 1 in 1 out. We've 4 CB's and Bitton, that's enough. I have a feeling neither Jozo or Boyata will be Celtic players next season though.

Ludicrous statement.
Fact is we were never going to replicate what we did last season in terms of matching results, it was so good. We're certainly suffering 2nd season syndrome to an extent but that's purely based on what we done last year. We're still well on for a treble.
The press are all over sevco - leave them at it, have you noted who they've signed? maybe you'd prefer us to be after that level.
quite a few celtic fans are annoyed at our lack of activity - Nothing new here either. We'd sign Messi and there's still be some complaining.

Brendan Rodgers on Tuesday night insisted there were no issues surrounding Moussa Dembele despite the Frenchman again failing to come off the bench for Celtic. An unused substitute against Brechin City at the weekend, the striker was rendered a spectator as Rodgers’ side came from behind to beat Partick Thistle and extend their lead at the top of the Premiership table to 11 points. Linked with Brighton, Everton and Crystal Palace in this window, the France under-21 star’s situation remains unclear ahead of next Wednesday’s deadline. But Rodgers, who watched Dembele’s fellow sub Leigh Griffiths score the winner at Firhill, is adamant his team selection on Tuesday night had nothing to do with the player’s attitude and only the need for his side to win the game. ‘You write what you need to write,’ Rodgers said. ‘I think you have asked about Moussa enough since January. ‘If you ask about him you need to ask about Jozo (Simunovic) and the other players. ‘I think I have done okay in picking the best team to win since I came here. Try to have a little bit of respect for the team I pick. We have only lost one of our last 76 games. ‘If Moussa is in our squad then great, if he is not we will see by the end of January. His behaviour is fine, there is no issue and no dramas. ‘We are here to win games and I will pick the team I think is best to do that.’ Asked what would happen if Dembele moves before the end of the month, Rodgers said: ‘If Moussa goes we need to bring in another one. Simple. Players need competition and we need to be competitive.’ Reflecting on a victory that saw a Scott Sinclair penalty and Griffiths’ goal wipe out Conor Sammon’s spot-kick opener, Rodgers added: ‘It was a very good win for us. I thought we played well overall. ‘We made a couple of mistakes in the first half in our build-up play, I thought we were deserving of a goal but it didn’t come. ‘And then we made a mistake for the penalty, it was a clear penalty. Then your team is asked a question. ‘So I thank the players as I had to put risk into the game by changing the system, taking off a defender and going more attacking. ‘Second half the players really took to that and were absolutely fantastic. Scored two goals and could have had more.’ Odsonne Edouard started up front again with Griffiths climbing off the bench after missing the Brechin tie with an ankle knock. Asked if the Scot had made a timely point by scoring, Rodgers said: ‘I don’t think anyone needs reminding. ‘It’s a big issue with you guys. We know what Leigh can do. If Moussa comes on we know what he can do. I thought young Odsonne was excellent.’ Thistle manager Alan Archibald’s disappointment at losing was tempered by the display his side put in for an hour. ‘We put a lot into the game, a lot of effort and work rate,’ he said. ‘Obviously they changed, bringing Griffiths on and tweaking the formation. We didn’t quite get grips with it early enough. ‘They always control the ball and dictate play but we created a lot of good chances. ‘It was a much better performance and we can build it now and take it into the next 15 games.’ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/Celtic-boss

Sorry Brendan,But Edouard wasn't excellent I'm stunned that he's gone out of his way to talk up a young player who is adapting to a new country, a new league and who has been used sporadically.
FWIW he was good second half.

Another game where we turned it around from an awkward position.
He’s now won 50 of his 61 league games after last night and we’re now on 1 defeat in 76 domestically, the equivalent of going two full league campaigns and only losing once. Ridiculous stats in all honesty. I get some people are a bit frustrated at what they might perceive to be a stodgier style of play this season, but 18 months ago I’d have killed for us to be this consistent under Deila.

He got it right last night, changes won the game for us. Griff on at the right time, Sinclair off for Jozo at the right time and then Bitton on to see the game out.

One thing is for fecking sure here, imo.
And that is, if there's a problem currently at the club, it has patently nothing to do with the manager.
Other individuals (players or blazers) may, however, be involved
