He needs to start the team working on set pieces. Our corners are rarely a threat our throw ins are completely laughable. With everyone standing about feart like a 12 year old boy at a school ceilidh
Been banging on about throw ins all season and a good part of last.
Does my absolute tits in that we have no plan for these.

Don’t understand how can we can look so overcoached in some areas and totally lacking in others
Its a joke. Thrower gets ball. Players wait about, thrower looks around, then after crowd starts to murmur one evades his marker to end up 6 feet from thrower. Then the pass back is either out of play or waist high.
We lose the ball. Repeat.

Every effing time.
Exactly.
It’s actually laughable it’s went on for so long

Tierney is the worst for this, yet he takes every throw on the left side. It’s not always about players not showing for the balll, he’s just clueless as to what to do. We lose possession from nearly every throw in we get.

Utterly unacceptable to be schooled twice by a glorified PE teacher.

Sat and watched us get dismantled second half, and done nothing about it. How his pet project lasted 90 minutes I’ll never know.

Scunnered - we aren’t very good, or at least aren’t as good as Rodgers has many fans believing. A dismantling job is needed. I hope Rodgers signings are better going forward than the majority of his signings thus far.
Utterly unacceptable to talk so much shampooe.

I do find it odd we don’t look like we spend 1 minute on our set pieces, we just hit and hope.
One of the reasons i was dying to get Griffith's on. Least he can cross.

probably more likely to concede a goal in the resulting counter then we are to score from a corner 😂😂

First ten minutes they went hell for leather. We then should have had at least one goal probably three and we dominated the rest of the first half. If you watch the match again, the second half was very much even apart from them having two glorious chances similar to Sinclairs in the first half. On great chances, we could have won 3-2.
BR probably persisted without Ntcham for too long. His only mistake. Sinclair's performance was mystifying but how can BR account for that. The team looks jaded mentally and physically. They played beyond what they have shown previously this season, even when beating Aberdeen they looked poor. The winter break will restore order and by the way we are 8 points in front, have won the LC and are still in European competition beyond the New Year. Not bad for a team nowhere near last years level.

It doesn't help KT when Sinclair stands 5 yards in front of him side-on on the touchline. Offering nothing.

It's equally annoying with Lustig, who doesn't seem to be able to get any power in his throw because he can't bend from the waist down.

Exactly. Some people really need to get a sense of perspective here.

Bear in mind that the huns totally raised their game for yesterdy and were playing like their lives depended upon it - They did the same in their two games against Aberdeen then they returned to shipping points against everyone else soon afterwards - whereas we looked tired and turned up expecting to play it like it was any other home match. When we've been so far in front for so long, then it can be easy to get caught out by these things as they're not used to having a real consistent domestic challenge, either over the course of a season or even in most individual matches. Whilst the break has come at the right time for us there's no need for some of the gnashing and wailing that we are seeing on here. Yes Brendan probably got it wrong with Ntcham not starting (although I heard somewhere he may have been unwell??) but remember, we drew 0-0. We didn't lose the game, so it seems to me no harm has been done. You can't win them all.

Their performance looked like it had the cardigan's grubby hands all over it, but that's another matter.

Remember the days when people lauded Brendan for getting so much from Ronny Deila's signings? Now were panning him for his own signings instead.

Rodgers should be put on notice.

Shape up or ship out to Stoke City.

51 points from 22 games, 8 in front of Aberdeen, 11 in front of Murty's Magicians and still in Europe.

We deserve better !!!! :pitchfork: :pitchfork:

Agree with most what your saying. But i think schooled maybe a bit far. Defo got the better of Rodgers in the two meetings though. To get two draws at cp with they players at his disposal is decent from their perspective.
I think there is a lack of schooling on the part of the OP.

Utter tripe.

Said a couple of days ago that I watched the Invincibles DVD and it's striking how different our set plays are. Sinclair took a lot, actually. Now they're all floated to the back stick and hope Boyata gets something on it. If they beat the first man, that is.

the floated corners drive me round the bend, last year we hit them with power and curve into a designated area, is it rodgers telling the players to do this now? Even yesterday when griffiths came on you thought finally no more pishy armstrong floated corners, griffiths then proceeds to float them in :brickwall: :brickwall:

its so easy to defend a floated corner, the defender has all the time to adjust and head it away, the GK has all the time in the world to come out and claim it and if your player does manage to get his head on it the only real option is to head it back across as you just cant generate the required power to beat the GK.

If it is a tactical instruction why cant they see it just doesnt work :ponder:

Given we play 2 games a week just about full time I’d imagine there’s only a finite amount of training time. Might just be that set pieces aren’t being prioritised? Not sure what is instead though as we’re doing a lot less well than before

Pretty sure we varied the corners last season, defo were training ground work outs but seemed to have disappeared this season.

The throw ins are terrible and we've gave away possession far too many times because of it.

Armstrong should be banned from set pieces that involve crossing.

See this 4-2-3-1 pish? Get it to eff.

Roberts and Rogic are the two that really make it work. We don't have them at present.

Stop battering square pegs into round holes.
