Money needs spent. We have truckloads of the stuff and if Dembele goes coupled with the VVD money we should be spending it. The Board needs to allow BR to mould his own team. Too often we are playing a system without the players capable of playing it.

Needs some new players in. Lots of problems all over the park- they’re not Brendan’s fault, it’s down to not spending money.
Brendan has signed and re-signed 20-odd players as Celtic manager.
We’ve not spent the money that we have available on the team, we’ve signed lots of projects, I’m sure there have been some players that he wanted that we couldn’t get due to budget constraints
Brendan Rodgers has spent/wasted loads of money

£2m loan fee for Pat Roberts for one season (plus massive salary)
£5m total package for Hayes
£15k per week New contract for a goalkeeper who will never push for the 1st team jersey
£3.2m for Kouassi who has hardly kicked a ball
£1m for a German defender who has played only 110 minutes in 6 months and will be 33 soon
However much Kolo Toure's 2 contracts cost
£5m on Ntcham ... who does look very good on his day

In my opinion Brendan is going backwards in his second season and his signings have been very poor

 saved my typing this.

People need to get a grip FFS. disappointing today, but some of the OTT comments on here would be laughable if they weren't so pathetic.

His tactics, team selection and subs sometimes annoy or baffle me. Criticising him for spending money on Roberts and Ntcham is pish. Both are quality and should be starting when fit.

Hayes' package has increased by £1m since your last post on this subject. It's almost as if you're just making this shampoo up.

Has to have a rethink during the break on how we are playing and try to get our style from last season back, we have been too ponderous in the last couple of months.

Madness to start McGregor over Ntcham.

Griffiths for Dembele was a pointless sub that achieved nothing. That wasn't the problem.

Not using a third sub. Why?

We are suppose to be a slick pressing team with players comfortable on the ball all over the pitch. We are neither. This team needs real surgery.
Totally agree, don't know what BR was playing at today.

Injury and success have conspired to leave us short on options. I , amongst many, thought that we’ d be seeing a regular attack of Rogic, Roberts, Dembele and Sinclair this season. That hasn’ t happened mainly due to injury and the demands of an all conquering season and a half. Players are knackered. That’s why injuries happen, especially muscle injuries which have kept Roberts and Dembele on the sidelines for long periods. Rodgers can’t do much about this as he likes to keep a small , happy squad. Other players have dipped in and out of form with alarming regularity and that too can be put down to big games with little rest in between.
We were poor today in the second half. There’s no denying that, and the manger made selection errors. He probably needs a break too.
Let’s see what happens after Dubai. We should have a couple more new faces, and maybe a couple of unhappy campers out, and we’ll be refreshed and ready to go. Teams haven’t really sussed us out. We’ve simply not played at the level we can. When we come back, we will.

We’ll never better last season domestically, so you can’t use domestic results as an example of a lack of progress.

Given we have the best manager our money can buy and a squad of players that are at the level we can afford, perhaps we are finally seeing our limits as a financial going concern? Of course we can do a bit better in Europe but we are operating within a range.
