The players let him down today but also some of his changes were strange. Taking Ntcham off (who I thought was our best player) and playing with Sinclair, Forrest, Dembele, Edouard and Griffiths seemed like desperation and gave the team no structure. This where we will see how good a man manager he is and how well the Celtic players can react to this set back. |

He was our only MF who actually saw the ball in the first half, he shouldn't have been subbed. |

Think he has a blind spot for Boyata. Needs to learn we can’t play football out from the back with a goalie and centre backs who are poor passers of the ball. Should have subbed McGregor and left Ntcham on at half time. Not his greatest showing today. Edited by Haitch, 17 Dec 2017, 04:41 PM.

We won;t get a better manager than Rodgers. Not in a million years. He's not the bloody Messiah though. |

defence is taking all the stick and deservedly but i think the attack being so poor compared to last year is a huge factor also. we kept the ball a lot better and it eased any pressure on the defence to be relied on bringing the ball out so much injuries/poor form to rogic, roberts, sinclair, dembele and griffiths has seen us struggle to hit top form. hopefully better luck with injuries and a top class playmaker/number 10 signed can improve the form of individuals and the team |

he got the 3 at the back wrong today aswell. sinclairs form has been patchy lately anyway but when we got 3 at the back and him inside he is completely anonymous and barely sees the ball BR on what he said to the players in the Huddle at the end of the game: "I wanted to pull the players together and let them be aware that they were better than us today and we have to accept that." BR: "But what they have done is absolutely amazing and they need to use this feeling that they haven’t felt for 18 months, use it as a leaver moving forward - let’s learn from it and be better for it." BR: "We’re a bigger target because of what we’ve done so we have to accept that and go and look to win our next game." BR: "There’s no getting away from it. The number of games we’ve played, this is what we want, we want to play those games. Over this 18-month period we’ve been able to galvanise and get our way through fixtures." BR: "We weren’t able to do that today and we made too many mistakes. We’ll be fine, we’ll recover from today." |

Just listened to the pundits on five live talking about Klopp and there are so many parallels with Brendan. As Brendan said , we will recover from today, the players do need to learn from it and find that hunger and drive again. Equally Brendan needs to learn and I am looking forward to the upcoming games to see the reaction of both the players and manager. |

I saw it as 4 at the back, with the way KT plays it's hard to tell the difference sometimes. |

If he doesn't get the defence sorted out and have a plan B for when teams high press us (as we always struggle playing out from the back against a high press) then he deserves to be criticised just as he has deserved the plaudits for what he has achieved so far. I like the fact that we build from the back but our two CB's and GK have been struggling to find a team mate with a pass for weeks so something has to be changed for games when we are pressed high, something that needs to be sorted in the transfer window. As fans we have seen a result like this coming as we haven't been anywhere near our best for a while now and although we have realised that the defence isn't anywhere near CL level we have seen a lot of evidence recently that is struggling also domestically now that teams press a bit higher and are showing a bit more ambition, I think BR has to have seen this too and whilst I would have liked to have seen him give some players more game time I also understand that, no matter what he says, the unbeaten run was always at the back of his mind and tended to force his hand a bit regarding team selections. Certain players need their baws toed and made to understand that they are not certain picks, others might just need a rest, but every single one of them has to learn how to fight for the ball when the chips are down and not just make pretty flicks and passes. Not only does he need to sort out the defence in January I would like to see him bring in a hard man for the midfield as Brown can't do all the fighting by himself, maybe Kouassi is that guy but who knows as he only gets a game once every two months or so, perhaps time to give Bitton and Ajer and few games together too? Who knows? Hiopefully Brendan does and gets the team performing as we all know they can. |

There's a lot of blame rightly in the player threads but he's not above criticism where it's due. A game like today has been coming for a while. As well as the players he needs to equally react to and learn from it. We're a sitting duck at the back if a team has the balls to go for us. Our better midfield and forwards will dig us out most times but if they're off

Correct More than a few mistakes this season but and its a effin big but He is as close to the messiah we are going to get And given what he has delivered on the park and into the coffers of the club HE SHOULD BE EFFIN BACKED Part of backing him is allowing him to get some wrong which every manager does He was not backed in summer And good players will not stick around for extra 6 months or 12 if we are getting pumped cause back 4 and keeper haven't changed in 3 years and are effing up repeatedly Effin accountants |

Did a bit of stattogeekery earlier. Comparing this seasons defence to last seasons domestically, on a game by game basis shows that today is the 1st time this seasons defence has been behind last seasons. Our defence was on it's game early on. We conceded just 3 goals in the 9 games through to our win at Ibrox. Since then, we've conceded 14 goals in 13 games - including 9 in the last 5 games. Our attack has also fallen away in the same period. We scored 27 goals in the first 9 games (3.0/game). Since Ibrox we've scored 29 goals in the next 13 games (2.2/game). I'm sure it's not exactly earth-shattering news that we're dodgier at the back, and scoring less up front. But there's some numbers to put to the idea. |

Brendan spent in the Summer. Maybe he didn’t get the centre half he wanted but I can’t remember any reports about him not being given funds. I’m sure BR has the ability to argue the case for more player investment. Unless you think he sat back and said nothing. |

You need really good centre backs to play his system, because very often they will be left exposed when things go awry. I think boyata is a decent CB who is closest to fitting his style, but now he needs to go and get at least one more that can stay injury free and play with him. And possibly another who is capable of fitting in at RB too. Think talk of signing 6 players at this stage is a bit knee-jerk. Lets try and keep things in perspective.
