Anybody know how to put a photo on this?
Go to imgur.com and add your picture there.

Then when your picture is uploaded to that website click the drop down next to the picture's hyperlink and select BBCode.

Copy and paste the resulting text to KDS. The first part of the text will be [ img ] without the spaces.
Does it work with the Imgur app?

FWIW, I think Moyes wanted it and there was a deal there but we opted for Rodgers. I don't doubt FA's intentions or info on this.

There are some defining moments in recent history. John Barnes and ICT which led to St Martin and a glorious period.

Although I think Ronny was going anyway, losing to that mob in the semi meant that the board needed to get off their erses and do something special, and I think we might be in for a great new era.

I would imagine that Rodgers came over a lot keener for the job than Moyes and that probably swung it.

I am totally made up. I thought we would get David Moyes or Mackay, I didn't think Brendan was obtainable. It makes today's event far more easier to have to put up with in the pub. I only wish that the board had been more ambitious 2 years ago when Neil Lennon left. Anyway that is the past, now for the future.

One of the funniest bit yesterday was the 'Sky Poll', you could almost feel the pain. Our favourite Sky Sports News Hunny saying along the lines of , " We have had an absolutely huge response to our Poll, and at the moment 48% of football fans are against."

Right O, Jim. Right O.

We couldn't have got Rodgers two years ago.

People talk about a lack of ambition but when you look at the options at that time, who did we really miss out on?

Keane, Mackay, Lambert, Larsson, even Lennon didn't want it. They were all keen this time round. Clarke had been the only one who has seemed consistently interested. He might have been a success but wouldn't have excited the fans as much as Rodgers' appointment has.

What is impressive is that Rodgers would have appealed to most EPL sides. Had he not been a Liverpool manager, Everton would have jumped at him. This is equivalent to us signing a player like Rooney or Fabregas
I believe, that even with hindsight, Clarke was a better option than Delia.

Could have got him in 2010 when he first applied :ph43r:

Delighted with the appointment (even though I wanted Moyes as my first pick). That said, are we not getting a wee bit carried away with a carnival on the Celtic Way and comparing this to the MON days?

When Brendan has pumped Barca, Liverpool, Juve, Lyon, Blackburn and taken us all the way to a Euro final maybe then we can compare him to the blessed one.

Yeah, don't disagree with any of that.

It's all relative though. Times have changed - we've been nowhere near this sort of appointment since MON. Let's be honest, we all expected Lennon back or Malky.

The biggest thing is this is a change of direction that we were all crying out for. No more Lawwell / Park Balde, Bangura, Cole, etc, nonsense. No more, this is your assistant. Appointing a proper manager & letting him run the show is how it should be.

I don't expect £5m to be spent on a player & there's no need to be going down that road. BR's time at Swansea shows what he can do on a tighter budget.

We don't have the players MON inherited, but there's a decent enough squad there & with the right additions in areas we all know need addressed, we can kick on.

If you think of where we were not too long ago, this is a good place!

Yeah I'm genuinely excited to see what he plans to do with us, I'd love it if we could make Celtic Park a place for teams to be properly intimidated by again whether that be with 50000+ fans in the SPL with the new standing section and attacking fearless football or European teams coming knowing they're going to get a right good game- the sort of thing that made Bayern Munich celebrate getting a draw there.

Obviously we're very far off that the now but all of a sudden there's a lot of reasons to be excited about Celtic again.
Bingo.

I think we've all been ground down in the last few years. Christ, remember the days when you used to expect to beat anyone at home in the Champions League? This season, I honestly couldn't say we'd beat any team in any game.

As you say, we're miles away from any of that, but there is now the hope that we can get back to a much higher level.

This is the rocket up the erse everyone needed.

Exciting times but wary of getting egg on our faces basically.

With regards to the carnival on Celtic Way thing, the excitement of the fans is there and I think the club are just facilitating that which is no bad thing.

Will be great to give him an amazing welcome and get a rapport and sense of unity within the club.

People are comparing it to the appointment of MON.

And fair play to the club for generating a bit of atmosphere, excitement and sense of occasion. Things sadly lacking over recent seasons.

I honestly don't remember MON's appointment being met with the same level of enthusiasm. Recall people being happy but we also knew how easily Rangers had been thumping us for the last two seasons.

Quite optimism more than euphoria.
