Good on you, Brendan. He has put to bed all the Everton speculation. Celtic is a massive club. With Celtic he gets to develop young players (he was working with the under fourteens at the weekend.) English clubs cannot bring young players through, they are under too much pressure. (This point was made on two major football tv shows at the weekend in the light of England under 17s winning the World Cup but none of them really getting a chance in their clubs' first teams.)
Brendan says this is where his real joy lies, bringing through youngsters and developing them. At Celtic he gets to do this. He's going nowhere.

Why the :suspect: ? Better managers than Brendan have been sacked. Big Jock was 'moved aside'! No manager worth his salt will ever be categorical about seeing out his contract. He's just being his usual classy self by refusing to tempt fate.

He says he's signed a 4 year extension so to then ask if he will be staying in Scotland a little longer is just daft, no ?

He's not getting sacked anytime soon if that's what their implying/hoping.

I'm not so sure. Two points dropped v Kilmarnock doesn't bode well. He's toast if we don't win tomorrow.

Team off the boil, Aberdeen closing in, sevco poised for a managerial renaissance, not getting results against French and German no-names in Europe ...

I'm thinking of two words. The second is "peg." And the first is "shoogly."

Just watched his pre-game press conference, and as much as I love what BR is doing at Celtic his refusal to be (in his words) "pragmatic" and recognize that we can't play our domestic style game against these big European opponents and expect to get a result is a bit annoying. Surely adjusting our style to give us a better chance would be better than trying to play our own game and opening ourselves up to the possibility of a doing. Hopefully his insistence on persevering with this will pay off soon.

Maybe try rubbing on the Vanish directly pre-wash.

He's trying to build an ethos & looking long-term.
Some of the stuff the development squad are playing at their CL level is even more encouraging, than the 1st team.

If he can get them all to truly buy into it, we'll see more progress quicker, than by parking the bus.

Whoever is doing the publicity for the book is earning their corn - Scottish media wise. Major surprise is that no UK broadcasters or newspapers seem to be picking it up. If it had been Redknapp with a book about how he is NOT dodgy and why he should have been Englsnd manager, Football Focus, the Times, Telegraph and Guardian would have been all over it.
