Don’t get the squad rotation lately as after the next 2 games we’ve got 2 weeks till the next game,( as long as our players pull out of any meaningless international friendlys that is.)

Needs to stop messing about with the team in home games. Fair enough we're mainting the record but games are boring as hell
Too many changes but that team was good enough to win the game, Roberts going off was the difference. All the young players impressed but I'd like to see us keep a more settled team. Loads of games to come so we'll rotate the players alot but I'd rather it was only 3 changes a game, we look disjointed some times when we've made 5 or 6 changes.
Just read a post saying none of the young players impressed.

Don’t think it’s down to rotation.
The fringe/young players showed up well today. We dropped points because some of the senior players had poor games.
Yup, Rogic had his worse game in a long time, Lustig wasn't at his best and none of the subs done anything of note.....Kouassi was my MOTM, Ajer was very good too, maybe the "old" heads were thinking too much about Tuesday?

The manager has to play these guys in competitive fixtures in order to asses them, surely!

And the time to do that, must be before/after midweek games, is it not?

The fact of the matter remains, though, that the last player we signed to go directly into the first team was Scott Sinclair!

If the self titled Celtic Custodians, sat in the directors box, can't see that the (potentially) best Celtic manager in a generation, needs two or three first-picks brought in to maintain the momentum (and avert any plateauing), then they should hang their heads.

Indeed, maybe performances/results like Saturday's will focus their fecking minds!

There needs to be patience, developing the side after an incredible debut season, bringing youngsters through, were always going to be part of this season's curriculum. It's the opportunity to improve players and European progression that will motivate the Manager to stay, not ritual pumpings of inferior opposition featuring the same eleven weekly free from adventure, trial and error.

Govan Super Casino isn't suggesting using the same 11 every week.

S/He's suggesting only 3 changes per game, rather than 5 or 6.

I agree with that. Allows for development within a reasonably stable and winning squad.

I admire the gung ho approach, I know it's maybe not the most sensible sometimes.

I get what GSC was saying and that seems reasonable. There have been a few clamouring for a settled eleven but we've played more games than any club out with the Summer football League's following a shorter rest period and the sweeping changes of half the side are hardly commonplace. For the big games we do have a fairly settled looking side when all available however even at that level you would hope there will be competition for places to push players on and I think we have that in midfield and up front.

He was on Radio Scotland just now promoting his book as well. Spoke very well especially about gambling addiction in Football. If anyone wants to listen to it on catchup, it's about an hour into the John Beattie show.

Thought Mikey Johnston had a good game, considering he's only had a couple of chances previously

BRENDAN RODGERS insists he only has ONE ambition – to make Celtic even better.

The Northern Irishman has already ensured his legendary status at the club by leading Celts to an unbeaten Treble in his first season at Parkhead.

The Hoops boss also pledged his future to his boyhood heroes by signing a new four-year extension in April.

Many pundits down south have touted the ex-Liverpool boss to return to the Premier League sooner rather than later.

But Rodgers has made it clear he is loving life at Celtic and is only focused on improving the club on and off the field.

He told BBC Scotland: “Well because I’m at Celtic doesn’t mean I don’t have ambition.

“My ambition is for Celtic. I signed up here for a further four years at the end of last season.

“I’m super ambitious for Celtic to be the best it can be.

“Myself, along with the board of directors, we’re creating a pathway going forward to try and improve every element of the club.

“So yeah, I’m ambitious, but my ambition is for Celtic. I’m enjoying my life here and I’m enjoying my football life.”

Asked if he will be staying in Scotland for a while longer, Rodgers added: “Let’s hope so.”
