I think , for perhaps the first time ever, our players are being tutored in the deviant practices of the SMS , and told not to make any provocative replies to loaded questions. I am really pleased to see this, as it gives these leeches absolutely nothing to use against us. They tried so hard to goad Bitton into talking about the unbeaten Record, but he took his time, and swatted their attempts at headline grabbing aside.
Well done to whoever is coaching the players in this.
Yup, i thought nir handled that well, and not for the first time either.

I really want to hear the Danny McGrain story.
Brendan was at his first day at Lennoxtown, and his full day was full of meeting the staff and players. His PA then informed him that Danny McGrain wanted to meet him later that day. Being a lifelong Tim, BR was saying he was the one who was excited about it.

So the meeting comes and Danny McGrain walks in. Unlike everyone else who has been kitted out in the brand new New Balance training gear on their first day back, Danny walks in in his own gear and sits down. He then says to Brendan; "I wasn't sure if you still wanted me." Brendan then tells them that as long as he's here of course Danny will be here. He's Danny McGrain.

Paraphrased slightly, but hopefully you get the jist. Was a lovely story. Was great to see Danny there too last night. A hero :rocker:

Quality Street kid and man.

Great to see him and Davie Hay still at club and involved.

Celtic to the core both of them.

Great night at the Armadillo tonight.

Few quiet digs into the manky mob went down a treat.

The story of Danny McGrain turning up for the first day of training under BR, in his own gear, and asking if he’s still wanted, is both humbling and heartening. A true great :)
Could listen to the man talk all night. Only low point was the two arseholes behind us, who talked the whole way through it. :nono:

Too many changes but that team was good enough to win the game, Roberts going off was the difference. All the young players impressed but I'd like to see us keep a more settled team. Loads of games to come so we'll rotate the players alot but I'd rather it was only 3 changes a game, we look disjointed some times when we've made 5 or 6 changes.

Give the man a break ffs. 62 games unbeaten domestically, won everything, in another final, champions league on Tuesday.

Record is great but he's not above criticism. His messing about at home has lost us 6 points this season. More than last season already.

Each one has been after or before a CL game. Totally understandable why he rested some today and the ones that came in were capable of winning today.

Kilmarnock were well organised and defended well maybe they deserve a bit of credit.

What messing about of his cost us in the St Johnstone game?

Don’t think it’s down to rotation.
The fringe/young players showed up well today. We dropped points because some of the senior players had poor games.

We're 62 games unbeaten and he won the treble last season. We've got the champions league this Tuesday.

He's earned the right to make changes like that and you'd think it would insulate him from moans like this.

Struggling to believe this is for real.

It's pretty incredible.

While on the one hand so much rotation has arguably contributed to some fractured performances like today, it is also Brendan's management of the squad which has seen us go 62 domestic games unbeaten and has us competitive on all fronts this season and sees us on the brink of European football after Christmas.

Days like today are frustrating, but sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture.
