He's an outstanding manager and the best thing to happen to us for a long time.

Some of the football we play is just fantastic. To go to an away game like that with the weight we've had on our shoulders in group games is something else. Couldn't really care about Anderlecht being in turmoil or whatever.

No doubt there will be some bumps in the road, but if we're going to get anywhere we'll have to take them and learn from them and we're doing that all the time.

He's done something no manager has managed in the modern era with us and that's amazing. Coupled with the fact that he lives and breathes the place I can't help but feel smitten.

Not getting carried away into thinking we're going to beat Bayern. I've watched Anderlecht for weeks now and they've been incredibly lucky not to come across a good side. When they have on 2 occasions, they've taking a bit of a beating. That's no slight on us, but a testament to how much more of a "European" side we are nowadays. We've toiled and lost to far worse teams away.

I do, however, stand by my opinion that we have a chance of making a real impact in the Europa League if that's where we're headed. Any team who can go out and play with that level of technique and control away from home at this level can win it.

The turnaround from the Deila years is simply staggering and it's all down to one man. A truly special manager.

My love for him knows no bounds.

Thought his comments about the players being embarrassed to keep the ball at times was interesting.

Very much so. An interesting turn of phrase. I think he was sort of implying that the players shouldn't shrink away from thinking that they can dominate a game at a higher level by passing it around and should realise they are good enough. That was my take anyway...

We are so lucky to have him.

When appointed it was a master stroke from the club. I was between him and Moye's especially after Petes project Ronnie

He has transformed our club from head to toe. Being from the North of Ireland he knows us and what it means to be part of our club in very sense. He gets us in every way.

We have him for 4 years all going well and it is joy to be part of it for all of us.

Thanks Brendan.

Thats my take on it too....I love listening to Rodgers and I listen to his interviews a few times over to pick up points and his body language .

He is very clever and speaks so well.

He has revolutionised the club and with a click of his fingers has taken us from Europa league whipping fodder to the CL and last night gave us one of the best European results in the club's history.
We are in a wondrous golden age, and it's all down to BR. His passion, energy, judgement and charisma combine to formidable effect and you get a sense that we are on a path to glory.

I interpreted it as Brendan saying to the players "It's ok to pass around at the back, no need to force it. Don't be embarrassed if every pass isn't defence splitting"

Anderlecht played Bayern away with ten men for 80 mins. Lost 3-0. The press would have you believe they are SPL level.

The fact he's said it in public might be him getting it across to the fans as well. Sometimes we are the ones who heap pressure on by being impatient.
