Brendan Rodgers, make us dream - Celtic FC.

Delighted to see us go away, dominate possession, score three and keep a clean sheet. We were sloppy at times in the first half, but that is down to still improving our confidence, which he basically said himself in his post match interview.

We have waited a while for that.

Thanks, Brendan!

Only lost the one CL league away game.

How long before we start hearing about the fact that he's not yet won one at Celtic park?

Same number of points as last season already. A win. An away win. Think he can enjoy the rest of the campaign now

I keep saying it this Man is a Very Special Football Manager - He and Chris Davies know football inside out - His ideology as to how to play the game, manage, motivate and coach players and deal with the media lackeys is superb - Just brilliant!!!! :worthy:

See the other week when there was a few people saying we’d have never lost 5-0 at home to that PSG team under Strachan or Lennon? That’s probably true, but we’d have never won 3-0 away to this Anderlecht side with either of them.

Pure class. If Anderlecht can get to the QF, I'd honestly rather make the Europa League than get 2nd in this group. We could win the effing Europa League!!

Not getting carried away into thinking we're going to beat Bayern. I've watched Anderlecht for weeks now and they've been incredibly lucky not to come across a good side. When they have on 2 occasions, they've taking a bit of a beating. That's no slight on us, but a testament to how much more of a "European" side we are nowadays. We've toiled and lost to far worse teams away.

I do, however, stand by my opinion that we have a chance of making a real impact in the Europa League if that's where we're headed. Any team who can go out and play with that level of technique and control away from home at this level can win it.

The turnaround from the Deila years is simply staggering and it's all down to one man. A truly special manager.

Hard to disagree with that. Hopefully the style of play means we can learn and progress too rather than just contain and hope to get lucky.

Under BR in terms of my expectations in European ties and group games only Munchengladbach at home has been a disappointment in terms of qualifying or points taken in each.

If i ignore the scores/performances and just look at the objective outcome in points or qualification we are punching above our weight under BR:

6 qualifying ties = 6 wins ( just above expectation )
Barca away = 0 Points ( as expected )
Man City home = 1 point ( just above expectation )
BM home = 0 points ( below expectation )
BM away = 1 point ( above expectation )
Barca home = 0 points ( as expected )
Man City away = 1 point ( above expectation )
PSG home = 0 points ( as expected )
Anderlecht away = 3 points ( above expectation )

A couple of the scores have soured the subjective reality however in 14 ties / group games I have only been disappointed in objective outcome once.

In terms of performances / scores it is maybe 4 or 5 times.

A marriage made in green and white heaven. The guys a tactical genius at tims and his understanding of the game is frightening. Got it absolutely bang on last night and if we continue to back him he will turn us into a last 16 team. No doubts about that.
