I know we don't like newspapers but one of the most reliable sources in all this has been, err, the Scottish Daily Mail.
Was it carnloughbhoy who said it wouldn't be surprisin' if there'd be another risin'? :o

John Hughes as assistant manager?

Steven Gerrard (from December) as player-coach? :ponder:

On the piss with ssmith81 and this still doesn't seem real. Absolutely mental, a few years ago you'd have had a heart attack at the announcement of Rodgers as manager. Absolutely buzzing for the season to come.

People on radio were suggesting Starke or Houston for assistant roles.

Wonder what happened with Rodger's pay off with Liverpool for deal with us to go ahead? Lots of folk were saying it would have been a stumbling block previously.
Doubt he needs the money. During his divorce hearing last year it was mentioned that he owns 102 houses.
Reminds me of that Alan Partridge scene "I bet I've got more friends than you have cows. How many cows do you have? 100. Well I have 104 friends".

Good job Celtic.

Spend a bit of money on some quality, get through the qualifiers and with the new standing section the place will be rocking again.

really buzzin over this as well. Bit worried about the 12month rolling bit. that normal? wonder if it was his idea or the board. Hope he comes in and gets us back to playing consistently. 15mil war chest doesnt' get you much when you are used to epl and their silly money. real sound piece of board this time and hope it works out longer than the year's paper signed.

here we go.....10ina row!

Every Celtic manager since Martin O'Neill has had a one year rolling deal.
