ajer and bitton at the back at rugby park in a couple of weeks?

Quote:

Rodgers — who admits Simunovic has got stronger after undergoing knee surgery last year — hinted the defender won’t be risked at Rugby Park.

He said: “It’s management. We always have to consider the load he has.

“He’s definitely become much better and gained more strength in his knee as he’s gone through.

“He’s not an injury concern but it’s one where you just have to monitor it, especially when you look at playing Kilmarnock on the astroturf then Astana away on the astroturf.

“But Jozo is a very inspirational young player. He was brilliant the other night — firstly in defending.

“If the ball is in the box he’s normally got his head on the end of it.

“There’s been change in the back four but the team know the defensive philosophy now.

“Once he’s a player who’s fit and in rhythm he is very, very good.”

I'd imagine we won't see Jozo on Tuesday either. Games are thick and fast right now. .

BRENDAN RODGERS has blasted the sick troll who mocked the death of Scott Brown’s sister.

Celtic skipper Brown took to Instagram to hit out at the disgusting image posted about skin cancer victims Fiona and Hoops coach Tommy Burns.

Boss Rodgers isn’t on social media but sees the positives to it and won’t ban his players from using the various platforms.

He just can’t understand why someone would do what they did this week.

He said: “I spoke to the players on that on Friday.

“I can’t fathom how someone can say that. I can only assume it’s someone who’s sat in a room and doesn’t come out the whole day.

“They have nothing to do and don’t see the sun. They’re just on a computer with nothing better to do.

“Social media is a great tool for a lot of positive things. But it opens up doors for things like that which I find incredible.

“How can you actually write that and get away with it? How can you put something out there publicly and get away with that?

“I’ve said to the players it’s part of success. People try to kill you and you have to take it.

“You’ve got to regulate it somewhere in your mind and try not to think about it too seriously because it would drive you mad.

“Seeing something like that must knock you for six.

“Which is why you always try to help the players control the background noise and stuff like that.

“It is a world that’s hard for me to talk about because I try to ignore all that stuff.

“Would I ever ask the players not to participate in social media? I wouldn’t.

“It’s a different era and there are so many positives for people in how it works.

“I don’t have twitter or anything like that because in my world it can come in at you too. In my world I regulate it and don’t have it. I don’t need it.

“I’ve always said we’ll do our talking on the pitch and stay focussed on the ways to control all of that and play well.

“It’s my job to help manage it but it’s a strange world we’re in that people think that’s okay to write.

“Scott is fine. There was a great Einstein quote which someone sent to me and it’s all coming true.

“It was about ‘the madness will come the day the world is taken over by technology’.

“You see great photographs attached to it of everyone at a coffee break and they’re all on their phones.

“It showed you these different scenarios and you think ‘Christ, that is a visionary’.”

While Rodgers won’t prevent his players from going online he does draw the line when it comes to using their phones.

He said: “We limit it. Outside the changing rooms players don’t use their phones.

“When you’re having a meal you’re talking, not on your phone.

“They get fined outside of their room, outside of the changing rooms.

“When we’re on the bus they can be on their phones but they have to be on silent.

“So we aren’t having them ringing and all that. I understand you need it and it’s there but we limit it.

“It’s a bit old school but the boys actually enjoy it because they know when they come out of the changing room that’s it.”

This pish is like the 'gamblers' who talk about why someone was a great bet after they won the event.
PS... That is a mind bendingly awful analysis. I think it was the part where he compares Forrest to a Labrador where I lost the will to live.

Think so too. He's either bored of Scottish Football already :twitch: or just frustrated at the team more or less staying the same as last season and no big names coming in propel is onward and upward

Make no mistake if the club do not attempt to meet his ambition he will go.

Unfortunately I think its always been the case that the club is more than happy with 6 CL games.

Boom!

Rodgers was then asked about an ‘unwritten rule’ where it’s suggested coaches shouldn’t discuss managerial matters at other clubs.
He responded: “Yeah, well he [Daly] hasn’t become a manager yet so wait until he becomes a manager and he’ll know the rules of the game then.”

Bitch slapped ! Daly was clearly spouting what Levein told him to stay. Levein really is a cowardly tosser.
I was listening to Off the Ball yesterday and the guest presenter was some guy who had been at Hearts recently, a player I assume but missed his name. He was asked how much involvement in team matters Craig Levein had and he said that Levein was in the dressing room whispering into Cathro's ear before kick-off and at half time, which I think is outrageous.

It gives even more weight to what BR said but, shockaroonie, no MSM ran with it.

Agree with Broadsword above as well that dealing with MSM would lead to irritation!

Hope it's maybe just the stress of CL qualification/meeting last years targets. Probs knows if they don't make CL that the season takes a serious hit, but we don't know what's going on behind closed doors in terms of contracts/new signings.

Bloody hell this thread is mad reading. It's like Brendan is the Significant Other we're feared of losing so we text him every 5 minutes asking if we're doing something wrong.
