His boy is probably a Celtic fan, out of contract and looking for a club, needing to keep his fitness up. Why not give him a wee run out in a friendly?

Can't possibly imagine why anyone would be bothered about this.
The game was on a farm, it's difficult to comprehend folk being upset about this, embarrassing even.
I don't think many folk are upset just a bit bemused and feel that it's a bit unprofessional.

I treat it the same way as when we let Shearer score a penalty against us. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things but doesn't quite sit right with me.

Will be a quiz question of the future.
I was annoyed about that Shearer one, probably because Shearer is an utter carrot and I detest Newcastle Utd.

No Celtic player of any professional ability is going to lose out because they didn't play 45 minutes in a training session with BW Linz.

There's folk sitting smoking at pitch-side pasting tables.

I wouldn't have seen a problem with Brendan putting himself on for ten minutes.

It isn't a big deal but it is pretty unprofessional. Surely we have several young players who deserve and would benefit from some game time in the first team over the manager's son. It's just all a bit weird.

I thought he didn't look out of place when he came on, made some good passes. It was a high tempo game as well.

GMS out, The Chosen Son in.

It's a bit strange. If it was at Sevco we'd be calling it out for being unprofessional.

Edit: I didn't realize his son was actually a professional player. Don't see any issue if that's the case.

I don't agree. Lots of good guys got a chance because of their Das. Kirsty Gallagher, Luke Skywalker, Jesus of Nazereth.

It's laughable tbh.

I have no problem with his managerial ability or record so far but giving his son a game is poor imho - he's not beyond criticism and it's not a effing family business.

I'm sure we have young players that would give anything to travel with the first team and get a start.

If Chic Charnley can wear the hoops in a friendly in front of 70,000 people at Old Trafford, Rodgers Jnr certainly can in front of two men and a dog in a practice match in Austria. If there's a lesson to be learned here, it's that these types of games should be played behind closed doors with no TV cameras present.

I hear that young Anton is getting the number 7 shirt, Broonie's seat on the team bus and the key role of Tierney's BFF now that Paddy Roberts is away for good.

It'll be forgotten about by next week, but for talking sake how would many casually palming it off, if it was say Strachan that done it.

Aye he made history last year and he may well just be our best coach since Stein but this whole Brendan can do what he wants, if he thinks it then its good enough for me stuff is a bit daft.
Strachan played his son Paul Telfer in 57 games, and I'm still bloody angry about every single one of them
