See his son Anton is with the squad, the laddie is his double......you think he was named after Brendan's fav celtic player ........... Anton Rogan ;-)
Just training whilst between clubs or a possible signing ?
"The ex-Brighton youngster is a free agent after his contract ended at Swindon and has hooked up with the Hoops for their nine-day stint in Linz and Prague. It's to build up his fitness as he searches for a new club. " Brendan's son or not this shouldn't be happening.
How no We did it for Gary O'Connor before Charlie Mulgrew too.

How no We did it for Gary O'Connor before That was wrong with O'Connor. It's not really a big deal. However I think that with the culture that Brendan is building and the 24/7 dedication he wants from everyone at the club then bringing your wean to work doesn't fit with that.
I'd put forward the same argument I did with Commons. Brendan's son is taking the place of one of our youth players.

No he's not, the youth squad are there too. He's taking the place of another Celtic player who could have been there for experience. He is not training with us with a view to us signing him. He's training with us because his daddy manages Celtic.

There's no limit to how many people we can take on a pre season trip. Apart from seats on the plane. Like I say it was just a passing comment. But I don't think the opportunity of training with the first team in Austria fits with the image Brendan has been building at the club.

He also took Paul Hartley in to training after he was let go at Dundee. Not sure what image you're referring too but it doesn't seem out of place for him to do this, to me anyway.

Making a mountain out of a molehill. Paul Hartley was at Lennoxtown (at no expense to the club) as Brendan was showing solidarity to a manager who had just lost his job and was an ex-player who served us well. On that occasion it was an admirable move.
On this occasion we have daddy going away with work during the summer and his boy coming with him. If he wasn't Brendan's son would he be there? Of course he wouldn't. There's a word for that.

I sorta kinda get where you're coming from, but in the overall scheme of things - IMHO, of course - this is absolutely nothing to get het up about.

Don't see what the problem is. The boy needs training facilities and we're perfectly placed to offer it. It's probably worth noting that he's been playing at a level not dissimilar to the SPL; it's not like we've taken some pub or amateur footballer and allowed him to play against our guys in training.
