Hard to believe that I would love a Celtic team and manager more than MON.

But it might just have happened. I'm not saying they're better - cause they're not - but I think I love this team a wee bit more. And I love the manager. I love him so.
Time will tell if this team is better than O'Neill's team.

Martin did an impressive job competing successfully against a financially doped opponent and establishing our reputation in Europe again. Huge achievements both.

The parallels are interesting- I think both were probably pleasantly surprised by the quality of the squad they inherited and were able to improve it dramatically with relatively few additions. You could also say the same thing about Stein, I think Wallace was the only one of the Lions that he signed.

Early days but I think I prefer watching this team, Brendan's team has pace to burn in every position and that is always great to watch.

Get the impression that Brendan is more hands on in the coaching side than MON.
Martin O'Neill very rarely took training even when he did he more observed.

There is no real answer to Martin c/f Brendan as Martin had a much stronger and much more expensively assembled squad up against stronger opposition - Brendan doesn't have that but he is only just starting his revolution - Time will tell with Brendan and I don't know one Tim who isn't looking forward to the journey :rocker: the real comparison at this point in time would be Brendan been given MON level of dosh to spend with players like Henrik,Mjalby and Lambert as existing freebies in his squad and I sure as hell am not going to try and have a take on that one but would only say Larsson was truly World Class and I would have loved to have seen Rodgers build a team with him in it and see where he took us.
Eff it... I'm going to say it... I think there is every chance Brendan is going to take us even further in Europe than MoN!

No netter what, I still love them both like my own family!!! :)

His decision to take Broony off at the very end of the game was a terrific piece of showmanship allowing \o/ to strut off the field like a zombie slaying peacock. It hammered home the point that they are our bitch which is something every supporter enjoys [see gloating thread].

He's one of us.

Everything good about the club this season has come from this man and his appointment. He is making players who were lost causes be vital parts of the team now and improved them way beyond anyone could have imagined.

It just shows how important it is to appoint the right manager to a club our size. The feelgood factor hasn't been seen like this since MONs early days and its only going to continue. Brilliant times ahead

You hear all too often that it's players who've let the manager down, it's the players who aren't doing their bit, that once they are across that white line that there's nothing a manager can do.

I think that Rodgers appointment dispels a lot of that. In that the manager has the biggest influence on the team and how the players are mentally and physically ready to play the game.

Absolutely

No other reason to take him off with 30 secs left. I like to think it was just a final "eff you" to the hoards.

Spot on. He saw the chance to get it right up the Rangers and took it with both hands.

I genuinely think I love him and could listen to him talking about football all day. There is also something hypnotising about how he says the word "work". He is a beautiful beautiful human being

It was and by feck Brown made the most of it - Absolutely took the piss out of the unwashed hordes in general but especially those in the vicinity of the Celtic dugout.

It was a subtle wee message that we run the show and they shouldn't forget it. For a number of them the game was a real watershed moment, seeing the player they hate most walking off of their pitch laughing away after strolling about for 90 minutes told those still clinging to some hope of superiority exactly where they are.

Holding a press conference today at 1:30pm apparently.

Unsure the reason for it - could be because the kit launch is tomorrow.
