Just out of curiosity.. Was any of the people 'in the know' on the now closed "new manager" thread relatively right / close with the predictions afforded to us?
Carnlock Bhoy - or something like that - has got everything 100% right :worthy:
Oh sorry for the appalling spelling :ffs:

Carnloughbhoy :worthy:

Henrikmc2 to be fair but he took something of a scattergun approach
Carnloughbhoy was bang on the money

Arabba11 was also spot on today with the announcement being imminent.
So was Damoceltic a few days ago. Two posts all month, both bang on. :worthy:

There was a story going around Belfast a fortnight ago that Rodgers would be the next manager. The source was supposedly a senior exec at Magners.
I never believed it. Show you what I know
Anyway, a fantastic appointment that sends out a real message of intent. This summer is going to be a cracker with the Euros and transfer window that will follow.

How magnanimous of you.
You're a lot more diplomatic than I was going to be.

7-1 is a record that will be broken. Bet on it :arrr:
I would if your name was carnloughbhoy. :naught:
I know it's been a busy day an all but have we got a definitive pronunciation on Carnlough yet? I'm going for Carn-law. But that's just my beautiful soft lilting Derry interpretation.

The funniest thing was multiple posters calling us all gullible for believing there would be an announcement after 4.30 on sky sports news :)

Thank eff that thread is over though...

Not much point talking about Rodgers' transfer dealings at Liverpool. Don't think he had much of a say. Same as Ronny with us.

Brendan Rodgers

"I will give everything I have and do all I can to bring our supporters exciting, entertaining and winning football," said the Northern Irishman.

"The club has been in magnificent shape in recent years and has collected silverware regularly during this time.

"My objective now, of course, is to continue this work, to keep us at the top and again make our mark in Europe."

Ronnie Deila

"Celtic is in great shape and the club has enjoyed real success in recent years due to the hard work of Neil and his team.

"I want to carry on this work and continue to bring happy times to Celtic. I can't wait to get started on this journey."

I imagine there will be plenty "Warbs warns Rodgers expect white hot atmosphere etc etc" articles in the press over the next few weeks. They will be desperate to spin this as both clubs having equal calibre of manager.

There was already an article posted here, headline about Rodgers being confirmed and his transfer budget. Content was genuinely 80% Warbs / Sevco

Too late.
