They have had to wait a while to find a reason to have a go at Brendan. Pathetic people.

The. Media. Were the ones. That were being all obsessive in that interview, banging on about Brendan, could see that Chris didn't like it.
Bunch of weirdos.

Is it cold in his shadow?

Desperate stuff from Parks

It's a plea almost - it's a fantasy for him that we will ease up and rest the 5 or 6 players he suggests - big bad Brendan denying startlets a chance - not losing is boring anyway and shows naivety it would appear

The sad thing is he's paid to write this pish

Please let sevco get close

I enjoy listening to and reading Chris Davies just as much as I do Rodgers.

I wonder if there's a possibility he'll replace Rodgers when the time comes.

I'm convinced he'll be our next manager. A kind of Pep / Tito passing of the torch. I think BR is building a Barca type ethos / legacy system that runs through the club from top to bottom / and that applies to the appointment and training up of assistant managers with an eye to being the main man in charge after a few years.

The hurt is strong from Parks , he is not alone though, all hunched over the keyboard waiting for that first defeat. Feckin ring worms the lot of them

Wonder if he, Parks, believes Sevco should have used youth at their inception back in 2012?

BRENDAN RODGERS insists there will be no let-up from champions-elect Celtic.

The Hoops are within one win of the title after grinding out a 2-1 win at Dundee, with Jozo Simunovic and Stuart Armstrong netting before a screamer from sub Faissal El Bakhtaoui ensured a nervy finish.

But even with the finish line in sight, Rodgers spelled out a warning to the rest of Scottish football that they have no intention of taking their foot off the gas.

He said: “The finishing line is still a way out yet. We have nine games to go and it has been a long season for the players, but we’re really motivated to finish the best way we can.

“If you can finish strong then it sets you up to begin the following season well.

“I always said when I came in we weren’t defending a title, we were looking to win it.

“We never expected to win it as early as we can.

“We’ve done our best in every single game and an immense amount of credit must be given to the players for the focus and mentality they’ve had in games like this, that they can see through and win.

“We never take it for granted or have been complacent. We have to win it and earn it.”

Despite Dundee making his side sweat in the latter stages – which promoted the switch to a back three – Rodgers described the overall performance at Dens Park as ‘excellent’ and hailed their battling qualities.

He added: “We were excellent. We started a little bit slow and then as the half went on we started to find our rhythm and we got a deserved goal.

“I thought we started the second half really well, good composure, looked threatening in the game and then we got a wonderful second goal from our build-up play.

“It’s a perfect example of a goalkeeper being able to use his feet and you saw Craig’s joy from scoring it, right the way through the team, and then we had real comfort in the game.

“We should have added to that. And then we lost our positioning a little bit on the field and that allowed them to then go and score a goal.

“We made a mistake defensively but the boy scored a fantastic goal and then there was a different side asked of your team, you now have to stand up and you have to deal with a lot of the longer balls into the box.

“They are throwing everything in, trying everything, gambling to get something from the game so you have to give a little bit of stability to the defence.

“The boy Haber is good in the air so he wins a lot of flick-ons and the boy that came on is quite bright. So we just wanted to make sure we could have that stability.

“I thought the players dealt with that really well. It was a very good win for us in many different ways and an important three points.”

Is there a list of some kind to see who is all away on Intl duty?

I'm thinking only Sinclair will get any real kind of rest - mentally and physically - of the ones who need it

Haven't seen a list of all of them, but I don't think Dembele was called up for the French squad and from what I can see their U21s aren't playing so presumably he's got a bit of a break. Don't think England U21s are playing either so Roberts will have a rest too.

Can't see anything about Simunovic or Boyata being called up for Croatia or Belgium either.

Cheers, I only had a quick Google and didn't see his name. Must have been an old squad list I saw

Don't mind him being called up actually as he'll be training with some good players, and with the way his career's gone to date the more time he can get on the pitch the better.
