No. He should have left it alone. We were fine, Outsmarted himself today.
When Roberts was coming on you saw Armstrong running over to the bench. I think he may have had an injury of some sort as he was off minutes later.
I agree
No way would Armstrong would have been taken off

He should have brought on Eboue then and shunted McGregor further up. We completely lost our shape.
I agree with that. The shape change cost us dearly. We should have stayed the same shape and saw the match out.

I thought that too, then I thought madden would probably find an excuse to send Eboue off

Fair enough.

In the 5-1 game, I wondered what the eff Brendan was doing bringing him on, today I was wondering why the eff we were taking him off.

Hope it isn't too bad. The drive he gives us was badly missed after he went off.

I feel like Roberts was worse.
Roberts might have done better if Holt hadn't scythed him down.
Armstrong was definitely done in as was confirmed. Broonie didn't look too smart in the last ten either. This is why we need at least one more central midfielder.
Remember Bitton had to go off at HT due to a poor challenge. That move would have been made around 65 or seventy minute mark and then McGregor may have come on for Armstrong. Eboue didn't need to come on in that game, would do him no good.

Armstrong was stretching his calf muscle holding on to Scott Brown a few minutes before he went off. The question might be why Rodgers didn't fancy Kouassi coming on. Our midfield disappeared after Armstrong left the field.

Its been a long season for the players and we looked tired in the last
20 today, time to rest players for the semi and also get them pulled out
of Scotland squad .

Eboue as of yet still remains an unknown quantity and he's out of top level match practice. If he came on and looked off the pace we'd all be talking about how he should have brought on Griffiths instead. I'm sure there's plenty of food for thought for Rodgers today. Himself and the team will sit down and analyse where we went wrong and the impact of the changes forced or otherwise.

We were all saying the same coming home. Game time for Gamboa , Izzy, Simunovic , Kouassi and Griffiths is imperative.

In that case Henderson should've been on the bench.

As insignificant a result against them as I can remember . A draw against them should feel like a defeat but I'm honestly struggling to feel either up or down about it . We are on a different planet when it comes to football on the pitch and everything else off it . They needed us to have one our worst performances of the season and for them to have one of there best and the referee to give them everything going . They got all that and could still only manage a draw. We will pump them senseless in semi final and that's the one that matters 👍.

 You could have driven a bus through the midfield at the end, such was the Armstrong shaped hole in it. I'd have put Eboue on and told him that Holt didn't like his hair.

I think there is a real possibility you are right. I'm sort of unconcerned about the score today. It really just didn't matter. The Cup is something else though. When it was one nil I found myself thinking 'this is pretty shampooe, only one nil' - I wanted, almost expected, us to absolutely demolish them. It isn't a good attitude even as a supporter. Need to just get fired up to beat them by any means in the cup.

Still, it would be nice to make it by 5 or 6... :naught:

It's ridiculous how many times his subs have changed the games For us. Today and Barca are the only times I'd say he got it wrong when it's cost us.
