John Hughes a possible assistant
That why he resigned?
He quit because his budget for next season was peanuts (well, less peanuts....) and was told he couldn't get Miles Storey on a permanent deal and he subsequently signed for Aberdeen.

Just out of curiosity.. Was any of the people 'in the know' on the now closed "new manager" thread relatively right / close with the predictions afforded to us?
Carnloughbhoy :worthy:

Henrikmc2 to be fair but he took something of a scattergun approach

I hope we appoint a pragmatic assistant to assist Rodgers, and sadly Yogi as about as pragmatic as John Collins.

Also Rodgers should decide his backroom staff, not Lawwell.
I want to be like every other club and not care a jot who the cone straightener is. When you have a proper manager the importance of the assistant diminishes considerably.

A few hours and a few beers later and this still hadn't sunk in. This isn't the Celtic I've come to know...basically since MON left, but certainly since Strachan was replaced with Mowbray. This is genuinely exciting.
It's exciting

I'm wary of getting myself too excited, but looking forward to next season.

I'd have no problem with John Hughes as long as BR chooses him and it not a cheap alternative to his normal back room team, if he indeed has such a thing.
It's changed at each club, mate. Well he was with Colin Pascoe twice but not sure if they still talk after the Liverpool fiasco.

Will be really interesting to see who he brings in!

This is business, I cant wait to see who he brings to the party.

Thank you Celtic for not lumping us with a Clarke or a Mackay

Were Pascoe & a couple of others not binned by Liverpool themselves and they subsequently forced Sean O'Driscoll on BR?

As in every :carrot: and their Ma is the Manager.

His scattergun had less hits than Celtic's signing policy this season and feck me that takes some doing.
