That'll be McGinn coming in the summer then :)
Hopefully not.

I'm sure he'll continue being Hibs' driving force when they return to the top flight next season, but we need to improve our standards even further in pursuit of regular Champions League football.

Aye, hopefully he stays at Hibs and succeeds in leading them to a strong 3/4 next season at the expense of the drain circlers.

McGinn wouldn't get a game for Celtic.

Big celtic fan, decent player, wouldn't get anywhere near our first team and nowhere near good enough for CL. Can we stop it now, please.

Positive about Scotish football, shame some pundits can't share the enthusiasm at times.

Is there any chance we're being so public about this to put pressure on those who laid the current pitch to claw back some dough?
GCC paid for it. It's was outlined in The White Paper.
Is this true, or a woosh? It's hard to know on here sometimes, but it sounds feasible.

Thinking about it, if a third party were paying for a new pitch, why didn't we as a club insist upon the best, state of the art pitch, that was available at the time?

We could have paid the balance ourselves, if necessary, and ended up with a desso at hauf feckin price!

Was the CEO on hols when this was all decided :ponder:

Is this the Laura that used to work for the Celtic view/Celtic TV?

Correct
Thanks, I thought that name rang a bell - always liked her, bright girl & knows her stuff.

Glad to see Brendan is beginning to talk more about the game up here, generally. I reckon that when he speaks, others listen - so hopefully we'll see some improvements.

What was interesting to me was that he referred to John Kennedy as "a brilliant coach" as well as having been a brilliant prospect as a player. That is good to hear, because I think many of us were not sure if John had been initially appointed mainly for sentimental/sympathetic reasons and that BR may have felt obliged to keep him on for those same reasons. I have been impressed with the way JK has handled himself during the odd press conference he has taken.
Aye, I noticed that too. As you say, it's good to hear.

Bigging up a player in his mate (and our dear friend) Lennie's team - create an atmosphere that player is wanted by Celtic, and the market value increases of said player, who is subsequently sold to some dafties in England at an inflated price giving Hibs more cash to spend next season to re-establish themselves in the SPFL.

Probably exactly the same as they were before. The bookies odds will show that.

It was maybe to do with timing. The Irish lads who did ours say in the advert that they can do it in half the time of anybody else.

Aye but they were already in the area and had some left over from another job. :ph43r:

Or maybe the manager, if he does sign, believes he can make the step up? :o Imagine that. John McGinn is an excellent player and I hope we sign him. I'm pretty sure Brendan has a little clue as to what he's doing.

He's not excellent at all.

If, and I stress if, we signed him he would be replacing Henderson or McGregor as a squad player. That's about it.

Sure that guy said we were definitely signing Darlington Nagbe in January. Also, that Lawwell would announce his resignation at the last AGM.

Charlatan, I reckon.

Edit: this stuff anaw, underneath his tweet
