They ought to make there minds up, one minute Scottish fitba is an irrelevance, a footballing backwater yet here we have the top clubs wanting our best players and manager for doing well in a crap league that no one takes notice of other than the stupid Scots.

Chris Davies was pretty clear that they're here for the long haul in his PC last week. They'll be here for us winning 10IAR.
We won't be allowed to win 10.

A few years ago Davie Provan said on Sky television that the Celtic job was a joke and nobody would touch it with a barge pole. Today's he's at an event promoting a Scottish football tournament claiming we will never hold on to Brendan Rodgers.

Does anyone actually remember the moment this guy completely sold out?

Only seems good because he has a far bigger budget than any other team in the country. Just wait till the bears start competing again and you'll have people calling for his head.
Mind the gap. :chuffed:

That will depend on Brendan being backed but it is a strong possibility - 3 years is on the cards and from there if we have 8 titles then hopefully he will stay for the 10.

Fwiw Money speaks but it is not his God - He has admitted he was offered Premiership jobs (plural) at more dosh before taking the Celtic Manager's job and knocked them back.

I am hoping five years but let's back him and enjoy it whilst he is here.

I think for too long we've been fed the EPL is everything by the media so we just expect to lose our best assets, for the first time since MON I don't see us losing anyone we don't want to lose for years to come. 5 years minimum is my guess, but by that stage he'll have left the club well set up to carry on his work, like Jesus did.

I'm sure i read somewhere that BR and his now ex-wife had a significant property portfolio that they had been building over the years. Even accounting for the cost of his divorce (which is obviously none of our business) i'm sure he is financially set for life, even if he retired today. I don't think money will be the clincher, it will be through his own personal ambitions and desires that will determine his future.

As a developer of players since his days as a youth coach, i think the challenge of turning us into a European force by developing footballers to a higher standard than they are at present will present him the kind of challenge he will relish. He has the chance to totally change a historic football club, one he has supported all his days, and put his name in the history books. He can create his own legend. That is what will motivate him.

I still get the notion that he will manage in Spain one day.

Don't think money will be a motivation for him. Doesn't he have a lot of property investments raking in cash for himself?

Aye, but where? If it's behind the eyes it might be your future vision. However if it's the left brain lobe it could just be over analysis on your part. If it's the right brain lobe it's just a wee bit of storytelling and japes on your brain's part.

But see if it's the lower back of the brain, ooft...

He will be here for the next 3 years at least, maybe more depending on the backing he gets from above.

I'm just going to enjoy the ride for the next few years and let what happens in the future happen.

No point leaving after 9IAR, he'd have to see it through. A chance to become an absolute legend.
