I think folk are being overly critical of some Liverpool fans and looking at Brendan through rose tinted glasses. Yes he has been absolutely inmense for us but that doesn't mean to say he didn't make some almighty cock-ups during his time at Liverpool or do other things that resulted in him being an easy target for parodies and ridicule. The man became a walking and talking meme ffs. His experiences at Liverpool has not only made him a better coach but someone who deals with the media more cannily. Isn't it brilliant that we are benefitting from those lessons?
I have 2 nephew in laws both Liverpool season ticket holders ( yorkshiremen :ponder: ) and they were glad to see the back of Brendan .... starting to feel the same about Klopp as well , fickle fans eh !

Klopps a good manager, but his failure in addressing liverpool's goalkeeping and defensive frailties has really effed their season.

The main reason Liverpool lost the league that year was Gerrard's slip against Chelsea. Now Gerrard had obviously played an important part in getting them to a position where they could have won the league so he can hardly have all the blame pinned on him, but he's (rightly) a legend at that club and their supporters would naturally prefer to blame someone else rather than criticise their idol, hence Rodgers got the blame instead. It's unfair but it's the nature of the game.

We've benefitted massively from it, so frankly I CGAF about how Liverpool supporters feel.

Klopp incidentally has fecking huge amounts of money at his disposal. If he hasn't been able to identify and sign a replacement for Suarez in the last 12 months, that's also not Brendan Rodgers' fault.
Agree. But the comparisons between the win records are a little daft - it would be like comparing Martin O'Neill and Gordon Strachan when one had Larsson and the other didn't. The difference between how Rodgers was regarded by Liverpool fans and us - snobbery imo. Liverpool fans felt Rodgers was lucky to manage them. We, on the other hand, feel we are lucky to be managed by Rodgers.
Sounds familiar  :ph43r:

The DD semi final story isn't a myth, according to someone that was in the room. We genuinely have huns to thank for this genius being in charge.

Have a good mate who is from the north of ireland.Told me today Klopp got a four year contract recently

I actually quite like him and he is a very good manager but his cup defeats and recent record point to a man losing the plot.

Liverpool fans i talk to generally dont seem to like BR - fickle is to a good a phrase for them. BR done a top job for them under circumstances but it seems they live in other teams shadows, Liverpool. There current team still has to many average players.

Would love the club to announce Brendan has signed a 4/5 year contract, rather than this 12 month rolling caper he is on the now. I'm sure the current deal suits both the club and Brendan but a more long term deal would be a massive statement of intent from both parties.

Brendan's not been happy with the pitch all season. He seems to think it's too heavy and slows our game up. A new hybrid pitch will help enormously

And in addition he is not happy with the size of the Lennoxtown Indoor which Tommy Burns told them was inadequate in the planning stage.

Be interesting to see if they can come up with a way of resolving that.

Aye, the players aren't the other only ones that require an attitude adjustment. Brendan getting them all telt.

Ronny Deila thought the same. He wanted a full-size indoor pitch so that the bad weather could be mitigated. Hopefully we build one now with a some of the CL money.
