Nice wee ten minute read explaining Rodgers tactics at Swansea and Liverpool for all you Football Manager and MNF geeks.
Interesting line for me from that article is

Quote:

The Liverpool of 2013/14 turned out to be an efficient counter-attacking unit and showcased Rodgers’ ability to adapt and evolve. When he knew that his Swansea tactics had little chances of success, he turned to man-management and built a system based on the strengths of individual players. The message was clear- when a manager’s ideas do not work, he turns to his players and knowing his players’ strengths and weaknesses needs to be a part of his tactical philosophy as much as any pre-conceived ideal

I think most would agree that's where it went wrong for Ronny....sticking rigidly to the system he believes in rather than recognising he didn't have all the pieces he needed to make it work well. A more pragmatic manager would at least have found a compromise system that let him play to the strengths of the players he has at his disposal while he works on finding those who do fit in his preferred system.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Is there any info on Park's role in signing: Forster, Gordon, Matthews, Lustig, Van Dijk, Izzy, Denayer, Bitton, Johansen, Ledley, Ki, Wanyama, Commons, Hooper, Griffiths or does it just suit folk's agenda to ignore them and only credit him for Cha, Bangura, Balde, Pukki, Boyata, Scepovic, Ciftci et al?
Lawwell and Park should both be replaced ASAP.
Park is really not well liked at CP

I'm pretty certain this will spell the end for Park.

Yeh there's a convent disconnect at times, might be time for a change but he's done well for the most part IMO.

i'm on automatic renewal so was always going to be there next season, however this appointment has seemingly captured the imagination of some of the support who were considering not renewing

genuinely think we could be looking at a full CP most games next season now, and what a sight that'll be

haven't been this happy and optimistic about our club in years
