That interview was great. Really inspiring - think I want him to be my life coach!

Willie Maley did four-in-a-row and six-in-a-row; Jock did NIAR. WGS and Lenny both did three-in-a-row.

If Brendan does five-in-a-row and takes us to the TIAR, he'll be enough of a legend for me.

In the next manager poll he was my number one. When I voted it was without an inkling he would actually be our next manager. I love the guy. Goes to show what a competant manager can do. Ronny had the right ideas and the correct philosophy but to me, for whatever reason, he simply couldnt get his message across. Brendan Rodgers commands the respect of his players and is extremely knowledgeable in his craft. That is a very simple formula but it is a winning one.

Basically, you've either got it - or you ain't.
Rodgers has the respect of the media too & possibly dare I say it - the Board.
Looks like he's calling the shots on most things, flying back from Dingwall, moving on/replacing Park, going through the wage barrier.
Deila didn't get this level of support, but probably didn't have the balls to ask either.

I voted for Rodgers too, I thought he might come to get his mojo back & then be offski ASAP. I'm now starting to think that even he is surprised by how much he's enjoying it & getting from it - I hope he does the 10iar & brings us on in the way he's been talking of.

In much the same way as Dembele can improve & then move on to an intergalactic club, as one of the world's best - so can Brendan.

I think his ego and ambition is also spurring him on to really make a mark with us, cement his place in Celtic history and do something truly noteworthy a la Stein and MON.

That belief is passing over to the players and will hopefully result in a great Euro run or, as has been mentioned, securing 10IAR. :rocker:

Quite simply, without Brendan Rodgers, Dembele, Sinclair and Toure wouldn't be at Celtic. Celtic and Champions League can be a big draw to a lot of players but having a Manager like Brendan is the big reason they came, and hopefully the other quality will follow.

We carried a bit of luck to get to the CL group stages and out of the four games we have been poor in two of them, excellent in one and very good in the other.

We have a manager who firstly is a Celtic supporter and secondly has something to prove, and I have the feeling he will be here for the long haul and to stamp his name firmly in Celtic's history.

As long as the board back his vision, within reason, then our Brendan will be here for many seasons to come.

As long as we keep the title winning streak going I believe he'll stay and we'll want him to stay. Whille he's a success there'll be very few jobs available to him that represent a step up on Celtic. Liverpool, Everton and Manchester United will be out of the question and I couldn't see City ever opting for him. Chelsea (in particular because of connections) and Spurs are the only possibilities I could ever see and both those clubs will be able to consider plenty of high calibre candidates should they have vacancies in the future. No other job is comparable in stature to a Celtic manager that's achieving things.

I think when he leaves Celtic it will be for the continent, most likely Spain. Probably not for around 3-5 seasons though.

I can remember posts on here 18 months back with people convinced a Bundesliga side would poach Ronny from us. Bearing in mind what happened to Gary Neville, who outside of the big 3 in Spain would it be worth risking your career trying to make a go of? I think the attractiveness of building a dynasty and writing himself into the history of what he knows is a great club will be sufficient to keep him here as long as it goes well.

If Rodgers was to stay here for 5 seasons and do the following:

-Win 5 titles = 10IAR
-2 trebles and 2 doubles in 4/5 of those seasons
-Win the vast majority of Sevco games, including 3-4 thrashings at Ibrox
-Qualify for the Champions League in all 5 seasons
-In those campaigns, qualify for the Last 16 twice and finish 3rd twice; including reaching the Last 16 and QF of the Europa League
-Continue progressing the quality of our team year-on year, whilst another couple of Kieran Tierneys emerge from youth development

... he will have surpassed MON.

Dare to dream.
If we invest a decent chunk of the Champions League cash back into the team I don't see why we can't acheive most of this.

At least the domestic stuff.

Edit - Champions League qualification is about to get harder so maybe 5IAR for that is a bit of an ask.
