He's only been to Wembley as part of the playoffs with Swansea.
Absolutely delighted for him - let's do it Celtic against the Dons!

Brendan is a cool customer but seeing his celebration in front of south stand and that glint in his eye during the post match interviews I think he absolutely loved it today

Good performance on the back of a midweek game which would have knackered us. That we looked the fitter side going into the last 20mins tells us a lot about the work going on behind the he scenes

He seemed a bit hyper in his post match interview when discussing the fans. He  us and we  him.

A final to look forward to :walkon:

It's telling that he's had no "big months". You know a manager is on shaky ground when next month is a big month.

Today was Rodgers' 20th game in charge: P20 W13 D3 L4 F48 A27 GD +21.

In that time he's crushed the huns twice, has reached his first final and with a game in hand we're 4, 5 & 7 points ahead of Aberdeen, Hearts and Sevco.

He's become the first Celtic manager to qualify for the Champions League in his first season, we ended Guardiola's winning run from which they haven't won a game since and he's made 3 outstanding signings in Toure, Sinclair and Dembele. He's shown tactical flexibility, got the best out of his players (Forrest a prime example) and proved he's both able to make tough decisions i.e resting Toure today, as well as demonstrating he isn't stubborn by not sticking with De Vries at the behest of a better goalie despite his lofty praise for the former.

It's an even bigger joy being a Celtic fan at the moment, please keep up the great work Brendan :worthy:

I had the distinct impression at time he was unimpressed at the failure to secure a midfielder during the last window. If Desmond/Lawwell are serious about supporting 'football operations' to the point where it has the best chance to realise it's potential, then they had better get that midfielder in January.

We know Brendan will be courted by English clubs in time, but we also know he's one of us. Managing Celtic to the 10 will be a massive lure to him, so he must not be undermined by Lawwell's shenanigans.

I bumped into James McCarthy outside the ground post match. I asked him if he will be signing in January? "Hope so" was his reply

boy, did he look happy at full time yesterday. Not just "happy" in a "we are in the final" kind of way, but genuinely HAPPY. Almost like he was a supporter.

If we can support him with the cash he needs to strengthen in the next couple of windows, we'll be some team, and he will be on his way to great things.

Good performance on the back of a midweek game which would have knackered us. That we looked the fitter side going into the last 20mins tells us a lot about the work going on behind the he scenes
That really stood out for me. They had 9?days off and we got a chasing on Wednesday yet we looked the fresher team at the end.

It would have been an insult to football if the huns got anything today. Tactics spot on and yet again his subs changed another game.

Special times ahead
i though they looked out on their feet again after about 40 minutes yesterday.

Brendan is beautiful.

I don't want to turn this into a Ronny slagging (again), but MW appears to be more and more like Ronny with each passing week.

Talks about a certain kind of football - doesn't actually implement it.

Talks about positives in the face of poor results and performances - ignoring all negatives.

Talks about plan A and if it isn't working he'll just make it work by being better - this doesn't happen.

Talks up winning results against opposition that they should be beating anyway.

In the face of mounting pressure he completely ignores his entire ethos, that he's drummed on about for 18 months, and still gets beaten (much like Ronny did in last years semi).

Oh, and that last point from the previous post. Banging on about fitness when on-field displays suggest otherwise...

Seems completely out of his depth.

The only difference is that Ronny was willing to praise opposition teams, rather than just lay the blame on things not going the way of his team and that Ronny handled the press far better i.e. he didn't blame them when things started to go sour.

Anyway, back to Brendan
