David Moyes' Sunderland bottom of the EPL on 2 points - 2 draws and 6 losses. His time will be up there soon you'd imagine. I was desperate for Moyes to get the Celtic gig, but with the benefit of hindsight, I think we dodged a bullet there. Brendan loves Celtic, something Moyes could never offer. Hats off to DD and all those who were responsible for his appointment.

I would have been very disappointed if we had appointed Moyes. I said as much in the insanity that was the new manager thread. I was very glad to come out of work on 'that Friday' to find the thread was closed and that the done deal was Brendan Rodgers!!!

The difference he has made in such a short space of time is delightful and very welcome.

I wanted Lucien Favre. Top of ligue 1 with Nice right now. Having beaten PSG, Monaco and Lyon

Still Brendan's been grand.

I wanted Bielsa. He's probably sitting on a freezer box, making DVD's of a fifth division Bolivian game.

In hindsight I'm glad we got Brendan

I wanted Moyes. I believed he was the outstanding candidate.

I was very wrong. Brendan Rodgers was the outstanding candidate.

BR has been exceptional. It feels like the beginning of something very, very special at Celtic.

:worthy: :chuffed:

Get everyone fit - done
Turn a team with no direction and frankly a bunch of bottlers into something coherent and brave - done
Sort out the defence - work in progress

I wanted Moyes, wasn't sure about Rodgers but I'm happy we made the right choice and I was wrong.

I wouldn't go as far as writing Moyes off though, I still think he'd have done a decent job for us. Hard to judge him on what's going on at Sunderland, it was a clustereff before he ever arrived.

Like a few, I wanted Moyes pretty much since the Malmo game. I'm very glad we didn't get him. Brendan has been outstanding so far. Transformed not only the team but the entire atmosphere around the club.

The consistency in performance is very impressive. You can see in every game that all of the players want to be playing at the top of their game all of the time.

You find yourself looking forward to the next game now, it's been a while since that was the case.

The manager is doing a fantastic job with this group of players, long may it continue.

I still think Owen Coyle was the outstanding candidate but just wasn't deemed a 'sexy' enough option because he's a home grown talent with no history of successfully managing a football team.

Didn't take any shampoo when asked about John Park yesterday.

"Do you have anyone in mind for the role?"

"That's none of your business" :rocker:

Didn't even need a press officer to step in and haul him out of the room like a scolded toddler.
